White Sands Hotel, Honolulu

This was a great place to stay. Close to everything and far enough away. I will for sure be back on my next trip to Honolulu!

We were given a free upgrade to a larger room looking out over the hot tub & pool. The staff were very friendly & helpful(they even remembered our names). Everything worked in the rooms & we were close to everything(places to eat & things to do). We had assigned parking & there was a guard on duty. We would definately stay there again! There's not a single thing we didn't like about this place! It's too bad some people want to complain about everything.

No its not a 5 star hotel. but this "little" hotel in waikiki was fantastic! Great location, clean rooms, quiet, and best of all a fantastic staff!!! If you have a car parking could be an issue. would love to stay there again

I booked a room for my daughter and I at Celebrety Resorts Waikiki because my sister-in-law and her daughter were staying there. Those reveiwing the hotel either loved it or hated it. My daughter and I loved it. Our room on the third floor of the unit to the left of fhe entry was clean, comfortable and smelled good. Our balcony overlooked a lush garden, small waterfall, hot tub and pool. The Staff, especially AARon, was courteous, friendly and helpful. It was a refreshing and welcome change after the daily hustle and bustle of Waikiki. I enjoyed it more than I would a high rise with an ocean view. It was within easy walking distance of the beach, Duke's and the International Market Place. It didn't have an elevator.

great value for hawaii. exceptional staff, was very helpful. room was clean and spacious. great location in waikiki. Parking is an issue, but there is pleanty of public parking less than a block away. would definately stay here again.

Don't miss this one. The staff is wonderful and the front desk manager Judy and Front Desk Clerk AAron make your say as enjoyable as one can. We have stayed in many places in Hawaii, but this one is the best. Maid service is terriffic, Staff is terriffic. Close to beach, market palce, stores for food. Pool, spa and grounds are terriffic! Security at night. Very safe. Will be returning as soon as possible! Don't miss this one! Vegas boys recommend this with an A.

We stayed for four nights and were pleasantly surprised. The so-called "building" actually consists of two aparment complexes, one of which - according to other visitors - needs some remodeling. Staying in the newer building, however, we enjoyed a comfortable bedroom with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool area, a very clean bathroom, and even a little safe to store our IDs and travel documents while going to the beach. The location is about 15 minutes by bus from downton Honolulu and right next to the major shopping and dining areas of Waikiki, and the beach is a five-minute walk from the hotel. The staff wasn't overly welcoming (something I haven't encountered in Hawai'i anyway - people in California are generally more customer-orientated) but friendly and competent. Parking is limited and assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis, but as the bus stops right around the corner, there was no real need for us to rent a vehicle. Only downside: the walls are so thin that you could literally follow your neighbor's conversations. Overall, a very pleasant experience and a good bargain.

I've been coming to Hawaii twice a year for the last ten years and I've stayed in so many hotels and Celebrity Resorts has got to be one of the best place I've stayed at. Conveniently located in the middle of everything, clean and the staff are the best. I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to come back to this hotel/resort. I love the daily programs that they offer, especially the all you can eat pancakes on Thursday !!! If you've read any bad reviews about this hotel, well let me tell you that they are wrong. This hotel/resort is one of the best in Waikiki and as i've mentioned I can't wait to come back here ...

If you're looking for a high class resort this is not the place for you, but if you're looking for a great value in Waikiki this would be hard to beat. My family and I enjoyed the smallness and the value. We would return here. Parking is an issue, however, so be prepared to walk a little ways from your car to your room.

Don't let the street side fool you. From the moment our shuttle (secured as we departed the Pride of Hawaii following a week at sea) dropped us off at the green-carpeted entrance and we walked into the open-aired reception area, we have been delighted with our decision to spend the last week of our 18-days in Hawaii at this charming garden-oasis near the heart of Waikiki. Grandeur was not a priority for us at this point. Comfort, safety and pleasant surroundings were our primary desires. We got it all and a whole lot more. Judy and Tami acted above and beyond in accomodating our personal needs by accepting our luggage early and storing this for us until our poolside request could be honored later in the day...even at our considerably discounted rate. This was just the beginning. The entire staff...from grounds crew and housekeeping to management...made us feel to be "honored guests" the entire week we stayed at Celebrity. By observation, it appeared they wanted to make all guests feel special. Our 2-room condo was much larger than expected and provided most all the comforts of home... with a peaceful view of the pool, water-feature and hot-tub surrounded by the lush garden of tropical vegetation. And, the concierge-desk was staffed with pleasant and knowledgeable people. Theresa and Amy made our "must see" plans in Oahu suitabe to our needs and desires...from dining choices to the sunset catamaran cruise that ended our great week in Honolulu and all of the activities in between. Try it! We hope you can also come home with the same warm glow for having spent time at this charming little oasis in the middle of Waikiki. We are ready to return.
