Days Inn Maui Oceanfront, Kihei

I'm not sure if I stayed at the same Best Western as the others who gave it good reviews. Got a room at the "kamaaina" rate of 109/night. It lacked much space, and the bed pretty much dominated the unit. Same goes with the bathroom, which was very tight, and the shower area (no bathtub) was smaller than a fridge. The floor was hard-tiled, and felt grimy and sandy. There was also mold along the edges in the bathroom. I've stayed in much better rooms for less than $100, but Best Western is about the "cheapest" you will find in Kihei. I could also hear the people and TV in the adjacent room. The location is good.....right next to the beach, but when you think about it, most Kihei hotels are close to the shoreline. I would've been content paying a little more for a larger room, had I known about the room size beforehand.

Wonderful place to stay and one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever found away from home. The property is very clean and well kept and the staff was very friendly.

For the price, it was an excellent option! The hotel is located on the beach and is accessible to alot of the other high priced hotels. Moreover, guests can use a computer in the lobby and access the internet. People were very nice.

I loved this place so much I've gone there on both of my Maui trips! I found the staff friendly and most helpful. The grounds are lovely, and it is right on the best swimming beach on Maui! Kihei is a bit touristy, but has some great places to eat. Open your windows and let the sound of the ocen lul you to sleep!

good quality ocean front on great swim, snorkle beach. try for internet deal ($139/night). Very nice, pricey restaurant, Sarento's, on premises. overall great value for price.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We told the staff several times that it was a special stay in Hawaii. They put us in the worse room, next to the street as far from the beach as possible. The room was next to the laundry room, so we heard door banging all night long. They were going to move us to another room, not close to the beach either, but didn't bother telling us. This area is nice, but it's far from laihina. Where most of the food is at. This place is more expensive than we thought, we initially thought it was a good deal. Don't stay here if it's your honeymoon...

My husband reserved a room 'sight-unseen' online based on price and location but were somewhat concerned about some negative reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the rooms are very small, but our room was very clean and well appointed with a safe, coffeemaker, fridge, make-up table, large armoir, and small table and chairs. The fridge was a definate plus because it was large enough to stock with breakfast goodies and we saved money by eating in most mornings. We were also in a 2nd floor room facing south (on the corner) and had a ton of natural light (unlike some inner rooms people must have been speaking of when they complained about them being too dark). The staff we encountered were exceptionally friendly and eager to please. There is a computer available in the lobby to check your emails periodically. The best beach in Kihei (adjacent to beautiful Wailea) is just steps away with some great snorkeling too. The only negative thing I can think of is that there is no bathtub (only a shower) and the parking spots in the paved lot are ridiculously narrow (like most in Kihei). We recommend parking in the gravel overflow lot on the north side of the hotel to avoid door-dings.

We loved everything about the hotel. The beach is beautiful, sunsets are gorgeous and the rooms were very comfortable. Yes, the rooms are small but who spends that much time in their room while on Maui? The staff were exceptionally helpful and extremely friendly. The hotel is close to everything. We would highly recommend this hotel and we are definitely returning to Maui and the Maui Oceanfront Inn. Be prepared for sand - the hotel is on a beach after all!!

I love the water and the hotel because it has great food,i also like it because its fun and great for familiys.And next time we might go there again!

We loved being right on the beach, we were no more than two hundred feet from the ocean. The rooms are small but with absolutely no reason to be inside when you’re on Maui we only slept there. Our room was kept very clean, room service was great. Parking is very tight!
