Spa Needs Upgrading
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/08
Though the services we received (facial and massage) were good, the spa itself is in desperate need of a serious upgrade and a good scrubbing. The spa is not a destination spa, but a healthclub where the "spa" seemed to be an afterthought. The showers were grimy and rusty. The pool had only a couple chaise lounges and were right next to the highway-not exactly a recipe for restful relaxation. We would NOT recommend this spa--the services are expensive for the condition of the spa.

What a place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/08
This place is EXCELLENT! My wife and I loved everything about the resort. The people were great and the views were unforgettable. If you are thinking it seems expensive, you will completely forget that once you open the curtains in your Oceanside room. I will definitely be back.

Planning our Second Honeymoon
By Neil, 01/02/08
The Princeville Resort is a one of a kind experience. From the minute you walk into the lobby to the time you check out, the service is excellent. The views of Bali Hai from the living room bar at sunset are amasing. The staff is attentive to your needs and the concerige is helpful in planning your trips.

Only in my Dreams....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/09/07
Only in my dreams could I have imagined there was a place like this. There are no words to explain the beauty and serenity. I have never felt so alive. It's been seven months since I've been there and I still cannot stop thinking about it, and how I will ever get back. The week my husband and I spent there was by far the best week of our lives. We enjoyed ourselves more here than we did on our honeymoon. Thanks for incredible memory

I loved the time I spent there!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/07
My first time visiting Hawaii, and guess where I was blessed to stay -- at the beautiful Princeville Resort! The people were friendly, the room was absolutely fabulous, and the view was spectacular!

Incredible
By Adam, 09/28/06
A pricey hotel indeed, but well worth every penny. One of the most amazing views I have ever seen can be seen from every ocean view room -- not to mention one of the largest hotel lobbys around. The only mediocre thing is the food. It definitely could have been better - especially for the amount it cost to stay at the hotel. Also, the grounds of the hotel are fantastic as well -- including the hammocks lining the bay.

To old and expensive for the $
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/06
It's unreal that one would pay for the way the hotel has been kept up, the hotel may look good, but when you go around the property you can tell that the owners and executive management has not cared to take care of the property. You're able to tell that the employees are being told to tell the guests that there is nothing wrong with the property, as in FIBBING is part of their job duty; and you can sense the frustration in their eyes with working for an awesome property. And the bad part of working for a great property is that it's runned like a motel, a very bad motel. One of the worse staff that I delt with is Hatti at the front office, she has the worst attitude that I've come across in the hotel. Housekeeping is one of the BEST department in the entire hotel, the staff is awesome and accomodating in all ways/requests that I asked. The amount of staff is very disappointing, you as a guest can tell that the hotel is understaffed and it looks like the executive management doesn't give a damn about it. From trying to have people answer phones or return messages isn't what a hotel of that calibur should be like, so when we heard that the hotel will turn into a Saint Regis property we probably won't be back for a year or so after they open as a new hotel due to the bad service I got as a luxury property, it's frightning to see what that hotel will be at a higher calibur hotel. You can tell that the hotel is understaff right when you get into the property, the front desk is a good place to start. The front desk only has one agent who does everything, where is the manager, shouldn't a manager or another staff be there and not leave one staff by her/himself????? Most of the time there was a LONG LINE AT THE FRONT DESK and I kept on seeing what looked like upper management walk outside of the door next to the front desk and not even help anyone in the line, they should even get their behind behind the front desk to help!!!!!!!!!! The food is way so expensive, I highly suggest you eat at either the Prince Restaurant or Bali Hai Restaurant for breakfast and lunch, or go outside to eat. Don't eat room service cause its to darn expensive and the PIZZA they say FRESHLY BAKED, hello the pizza is a DIGORNIO FROZEN PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Many of the desserts and the pastries you can tell that it's frozen and brought, I don't think they even make their own pastries or desserts.

Wow!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/06
High class all the way. Very expensive but someone has to pay for the view, property, maintanance and luxury accomadations. The Hotel is set in the mountain with a 270 degree ocean view, waterfalls, mountains. Beautiful. Many friends have been married there and honeymooned there as well. Very memorable.

Christmas in Hawaii
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/06
We spent Christmas in Maui but I wish we planned on extending our stay at the Princeville for Christmas instead. Kauai is one of the most beautiful of the Hawaiian islands. It truly is a place of peace and comfort. The Princeville made our stay in Kauai complete. Everything was fabulous. The room accomadations at the Princeville are truly a dream come true. Everything is perfect and it is one of the most luxurious places I have ever stayed at throughout my travels. I hope to return soon because I truly miss everything about it. The hospitaly is amazing and everything is there for you.

The BEST Luxury in Hawaii
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/20/06
We just arrived from the Princeville Resort Hotel last Saturday. We've stayed at a lot of luxury hotels and this was the best we've ever been to. The view, obviously, is the main attraction. Every room has an ocean view except for a very few. You are seated in Hanalai Bay with Bali Hai in the background. The morning sunrsie is just majestic. The pool is not heated but still gorgeous. The water in the pool is level with the patio and a swim-up bar with a view of the ocean every where you look. There are chairs on the beach for NO extra charge and the snorkeling is beautiful, like being in you own acquarium. Cold pineapple is brought to you along with ice water. Very refreshing on those HOT days. The rooms are large with large bathrooms and VERY deep tubs with hand held shower sprays. LOVE IT! And 2 sinks in the bathroom. Large closet space with fridge and safe. The lobby, again is magnificent. The staff was extremly helpful and courteous. Would not stay anywhere else when I'm in Kauai. VERY CLEAN! 1/16/06
