Loved It!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/28/11
This hotel saved US when we had no where to go in waikiki when our other reservations with another place got messed up, they had rooms for a good price not $200/night or more. we called tons of hotels tryin to find a place everyone was book up. Finally we called the holiday inn and which had turned into the ramada plaza. We got there around 12pm and they couldn't check us in yet, they let us keep out bags behind the desk until check in time. when we got back around 230 they had our rooms and we got there the beds were good size and comfortable with 4 pillows each!! The bathroom was nice and clean. Room had a fridge and coffee maker and new AC units! The pool was nice, and cool everytime you got in, they area around it was nice too for sun bathing, sun goes bye bye around 2:30pm tho goes behind buildings. Had 3 washers and 3 dryers that was convinient and good ice maker that always had ice. we hung out on the pool deck until late hours of the night and no one ever said anything. last thing I would tell someone whos looking to aim about $120 a night this place is perfect. Nice people and nice housekeepers and maintence guys. located about 10 mins walk to the beach and places to eat all over the place.

First Visit
By debra, 2/28/09
Took advantage of our points with Holiday Inn - location not bad if you dont mind walking. Area where hotel is down at the harbour end so quite a bit of walking to get to what is consider Waikiki Bch. Our trip was short and what we were able to see was a blast A lot of shopping, designer to flea market huge variety. Hope to go back again but would stay at a hotel more on the beach.

Maids Vacuuming Before 6 a.m.!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/8/07
This is not a bad hotel. The rooms are fairly spacious and the bathrooms are clean. The hotel doesn't have wireless internet, and hooking up to the hotel's network can be problematical. My biggest complaint concerns the maids starting their vacuum cleaners in the hallways and empty rooms at 5:55 in the morning! Although I was already up to do some work, I can see how other guests would not like to be awakened so early by the noise of loud vacuum cleaners. The toilets flush so weakly that you're never sure if you're going to need a plunger! When asked to recommend a restaurant, the staff will always steer you to the Japanese-American buffet just down the sidewalk, but Wailani's Coffee House is just down the street and has much better food and lower prices. Would I stay here again? I could, but I'd really prefer a hotel with its own restaurant and one where the maids don't start bustling around before 9 a.m.

Don't even try to check-in early
By TONYA W, 7/3/06
The staff at the desk was not the most helpful. Dozens of airline people came and went and were given rooms. I needed my room early to shower for a medical appt and they refused. Not even would try, refused!

The price was right.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/31/04
What we liked most about this hotel is that is at the edge of Waikiki so you avoid some of the crowds. The Hilton is across the street and has very nice grounds and beach so we spent alot of time there. Close to the Wailana Coffee shop for inexpensive meals. If you are looking for something fancy this isn't it, but we managed to have a great time anyway, and the price was right. If you want close by shopping or on the beach you might be happier some where else.
