A roach. *blank stare*
By GOLDIELOX, 6/16/10
I liked the lobby. I disliked the ROACH in my room. Needless to say, I checked out and went to the J.W. Marriott. It's connected to Lenox. Score! Don't bother if you're creeped out by crawlers! Happy Travels! :-)

Great weekend trip.
By Julie, 4/11/10
The Ritz Carlton is what you should expect. Very high end service, quality and amenitites for a higher price than lesser hotels in the area. We were disappointed (teenagers running in the halls on prom night) on our first visit (for a conference). The hotel took the parking off our bill and then mailed us an apology and a return night at no charge, not even for the taxes or parking. Our second visit we slept like babies. The hotel car took us to dinner and picked us up from the show we saw, saving us the taxi fees & tips. The food was excellent and no more expensive than you would expect for world class hotel or any other high caliber restaurant in a large metropolitan city.

exceptional service
i reserved a weekend in the basic room that they offer and i must say that i was very much pleased. the service from when i walked in to the hotel was great. i also appreciated the fact that they ensured your privacy because the elevators are key accessible only and it only takes you to the floor your room is on. the only issue i had was the hotel's food, yes convenient but the could have been better especially for the price. my overall experience was great and they would defintely see me again.

Nice but not worth the cost.
By AreWeThereYet, 10/7/09
My wife and I went for our first visit to Atlanta and our first stay in a Ritz Carlton. We are not rich folk but we did not spare the expense. The hotel is in a good location but there are 10 other brand name hotels within two blocks as well. I was most dissappointed with the parking expense of $27 a day, $10 a day for in room internet access, and no pool. Yes the staff remembers your name. I want to be respected, I don't care if someone remembers my name. The food is too expensive. One morning we had a coffe, tea, toast and begal for about $26. Another morning we tried the breakfast buffet for just under $50. We ate about as much foood as you might buy at IHOP for $20. The room was nice, clean but we didn't spend too much time in it. For an average couple, earning an average wage, it was not anything special. We would have been better off in a Marriott or Hyatt. We came home with many great stories and opinions of Atlanta. We told our family that they visit Atlanta. Unfortunately we have nothing outstanding to say about our choice of lodging. If your travel plan is to visit Atlanta, eat locally, and have a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay, pick some place else to stay. Next time I will.

Not a 5 star at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By yahoo traveler, 10/23/08
I stayed here considering my birthday and trying to do something special for the B day weekend. I was disappointed in the quality of the room. Thinking that the Ritz is the top of the line, this fell short of that, wayyyy short. I would of felt the same in a four star. There wasnt a pool, gym was weak, and didnt have the overall feel of being in a grand hotel. I know its different strokes for different folks however this will not be up to your expectations!!!!!!!!

Dining
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/6/07
The dining experience is unforgetable. Claude and the others are friendly, yet not intrusive, professional but not stuffy! If you don't know what foods you're in the mood to eat--let the chef surprise you! You won't be disappointed.

We felt like Royalty!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/9/07
Location is great. It is a 10 minute walk to Atlanta aquarium which is wonderful and the new Coca-Cola Museum opening summer "07".Hard Rock cafe, Hooters and McDonalds is within walking distance. Peachtree Mall is a short walk away with many nice stores and a great food-court. Taxi's are stationed at the hotel and for you baseball fans, Turner Field is $20.00 round-trip. This was a first stay for us at a Ritz and it was everything we expected from the name. Everyone from the the front desk to the bell-hop was exceptionally pleasant and friendly, calling us by our names always. The Ritz is known for their many perks they have from the robes and slippers to the Egyptian high-count sheets and down-filled pillows. I had mentioned it was a special wk-end for us when making the reservations and our first night on the town,we were pleasantly surprised to find upon our return, champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries in the room. We felt so welcomed that we are planning another get-a-way to this wonderful hotel. I would highly recommend this Ritz to anyone that is considering a stay in a 5-star, top of the line hotel. You will not be disappointed!!! D. Dyer Nashville, TN

The NIGHTMARE IN ATLANTA
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/2/07
New Years Eve .I had reservations for their special New Years Eve package.Includes room, dinner and dj party until midnight. Arrive at 3pm.Valet car went well.Checkin a little bumpy-desk man was a little grumpy... We get through check-in and we're off to the room. Not thrilled that we were not on the club level floor as i had upgraded to club level. We were 4 floors above. I accepted that because it was a special occasion and assumed they were very busy. We get to the room, walk in, and the bell man asked if everything was ok. At that point I looked at my wife and I responded that no it was not, it smelled like a bar full of smokers. I asked the bell man to get us another room and he did. They were no other rooms available so according to the front desk the best they could do was put a air purifier in the room for a few hours to try and remove the smoke odor. Thats not acceptable so I asked to speak to someone in charge. After another phone call to the desk by the bell man they said they found a room on the club floor and we could move to that and a associate was on their way up with a key. The bell man left and we were waiting in the hall way for at least 15 minutes. At that point a woman approached us with our key and took us to the elevator. Meanwhile no one helped us with our luggage or our coats, we took it all ourselves. The elevator door opened and she just told us to go right and we had to find it, she did not offer to walk us to our room. We got to the room and this one had a sewer smell to it. We went to open our door only to find that the room was occupied. We went back to the desk and again asked for a mamager to come help us. They sent us a customer service person.I asked him to get me in the Buckhead Ritz.I had all I could take a t this point. After a very half hearted effort he said he would be back in a few minutes. After 15 more minutes we were offerd another room which I was taken to by an associate. This room smelled like it was filled with dirty wet socks-the associate agreed. At this point two hours and 4 martinis later we were offered a suite and the evening would be comped. Dinner was good but the evening really didn't have a chance after such a bad start. We wound up in bed at about 11 pm. Got up for some water only to find 3 of the water bottles in the room were used and refilled by a previous guest.T he white robes were yellow. The coffee table had a broken leg and the blanket on the bed was missing a sheet.
