Nice but not worth the cost.
My wife and I went for our first visit to Atlanta and our first stay in a Ritz Carlton. We are not rich folk but we did not spare the expense. The hotel is in a good location but there are 10 other brand name hotels within two blocks as well. I was most dissappointed with the parking expense of $27 a day, $10 a day for in room internet access, and no pool. Yes the staff remembers your name. I want to be respected, I don't care if someone remembers my name. The food is too expensive. One morning we had a coffe, tea, toast and begal for about $26. Another morning we tried the breakfast buffet for just under $50. We ate about as much foood as you might buy at IHOP for $20. The room was nice, clean but we didn't spend too much time in it. For an average couple, earning an average wage, it was not anything special. We would have been better off in a Marriott or Hyatt. We came home with many great stories and opinions of Atlanta. We told our family that they visit Atlanta. Unfortunately we have nothing outstanding to say about our choice of lodging. If your travel plan is to visit Atlanta, eat locally, and have a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay, pick some place else to stay. Next time I will.
