Our daughter's college Frisbee team stayed here. The resort changed their rooms since another Frisbee team had caused problems recently. The rooms the were put in were not as nice as their original rooms and not as convenient. The worst was that her passport was stolen out of her locked room as well as the ATM cards of 2 other students.

A little disappointed

Came here for a conference and I think I expected more because of their website. On their site, the rooms were updated w/ what seems to be a more modern look. Not so. I stayed in a very dated room and equally dated bathroom. The view of the marsh is nice. Other than the club house pool which was nearby, a lot of things are driving (NOT WALKING) distance. I suppose if you're 60+ and would love to do nothing but golf, this place is ok. However, it's not really a family destination. Overall, I would not be staying here again if given the opportunity to go back to St. Simons. There are plenty of other "resorts" that will live up to their price tag.

The place is beautiful! I love the views of the marshes and the great location- it was perfect for the family. I wish I had had more time to golf at the resort. GA tourism is doing a giveaway today on their twitter for a free 2 nights and a round of golf. I wish I had known about that opportunity- I would have gone later :) the twitter is twitter.com/exploregeorgia

nice resort - poorly managed

We were there for a conference. Our reservation was "accidentally" made at the inn and not resort where the conference was being held, (these are 2 very different places - not on the same property) after much disagreeing we were given the "Last room" at the resort. Which of course was much more expensive. The stay was great but 6 days after check out our credit card was charged again!! As of now, no one can tell me how or why!! I have had to leave messages for people on vacation!!! The front desk manager informed me she was BUSY and did not have time to look into it!! Also the door did not close in our room so everytime we came back the door was wide open for anyone to walk in!! This was not fixed during our stay!

Quiet, average

This is the time of year, there is NO ONE at this resort. If you want quiet, no kids running outside or above your room, now is the time. The island is not too crowded. I would hate to see it during the season. Golf was good, cold and windy, you just have to play for fun not score. The golf shop people seem a little disinterested and not very motivated to start golfers as soon as possible after a frost delay. Where we come from they send a ranger out to decide when to start. Sea Palms seems to set a dealyed start time and you just have to wait, frost or no. The amenities and room were average. Not what I would expect for a "resort".

Nice Enough

We went Forth of July weekend and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean. The location of the rooms are very out of the way. For the price per night I was expecting alot nicer rooms, as u will see in the pictures they are comparable to that of much cheaper hotels. The rooms don't have a microwave, only a mini fridge and a sink. I also found it hard to find actual pictures of the deluxe rooms so I am posting some that I took. As with another review I read our beds didnt have a fitted sheet, only two flat sheets that were constanly coming off.

Great staff, and exceptional golf course.

The resort was full so I stayed at their Inn. What a delightful room, staff at Inn was tremdous, especially the am person, Shirley. Recomend to friends and enjoy this great getaway

Just don't wake up and try to enjoy golf!

If you enjoy being bothered by pedestrians, bicyclists, fishermen, dog-walkers, and more then Sea Palms golf courses are the ones for you! Intrusions are unenforced and make relaxation and satisfaction difficult. If you decide to stay there, you may want to pay to play golf somewhere else where it is more professionally maintained.

What a stay!!! Highly recommended!!

My stay was part of the 2005 Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education's Lighthouse Institute this past Sept. 21-23. I can't put into words how impressed I was with the cleanliness, professionalism, service, and timeliness of our entire stay. The rooms were immaculate, and very comfortable. What a view! The food, my word, every bite an experience, and the wait staff was second to none. The grounds looked as inviting as the golf course. The conference rooms were clean and organized, our water glasses were never empty, the coffee was always fresh and hot, and the snacks were fresh and plentiful. We always had sharp pencils and fresh note paper. Who could ask for more. I highly recommend this establishment for any stay or function.
