Wellesley Inn - Atlanta Airport, East Point

Delta put me up in this place due to my plane sitting on the tarmac past the time I needed to get on my next flight and thus causing me to miss my connection-which happened to be the last one out that evening. I could not believe the decor-gold and green and sure the furniture was the same they bought in 1965! Dirty and dinghy. The floor in my room was very old level loop carpet with huge stains. When I turned the sheets down several very long black hairs were laying on the sheet and the pillows were very wrinkled as being used recently. Also, brown specks of something were on the sheets, don't know what those were, but I refused to sleep in that bed and they sent me to another room. It was the same and I just sat there in a vinyl chair for four hours and took the first shuttle back to the airport terminal and sat for four more hours til my flight left that morning. The area around the hotel was very dirty and seemed to be in the worst part of the city. I did ot feel safe in that area. DELTA sure let me down and I will not be using that airline again! I do fly alot but no more with DELTA!

Delta airlines hotel of choice for stranded Business class passengers - shows how much they value your business. Felt like I was in the middle of a 1970's Streets of San Francisco or Dirty Harry Movie. Reception was clearly once proud but now fading fast, rooms were dated with an air conditioning unit borrowed from a B52 bomber - took up most of one wall. Microwave and domestic refrigerator in the room was a tell tale of the level of facilities. Italian restaurant is best avoided, try fast food chain opposite. On the up side, the bar was a hoot :) and the bar staff very down to earth and welcoming.

THE STAFF RUDE ACTED LIKE THUGS! THE AREA BAD! THE STAY WAS DUE TO DELTA STRANDING ME IN ATLANTA PROVIDING A VOUCHER TO THIS TRAP. WELLESLEY INN DESK CLERK INSISTED ON MY PROVIDING A CREDIT CARD. WHEN REFUSED CALLED THE POLICE, THEY THEN EXTORTED MONEY BY RUNNING MY CARD CHARGING ME FOR ROOM AND OTHER CHARGES I DID NOT MAKE! DELTA SHOULD BE ASHAMED PUTTING PEOPLE THEY HAVE ALREADY MALTREATED IN THIS PLACE. I FLEW FOR THE USAF AND ONCE TRAVELED USING DELTA EXCLUSIVELY. IT WILL BE A COLD COLD DAY BEFORE I TRAVEL WITH THEM AGAIN!

Nice and Clean, Smoke-free rooms. I will return. Keep up the good work Wellesley!

I had an issue with my room A/C, which had frozen up. I ran into Ron with the Maint dept and alerted him of the problem. Within 15 minutes he had checked out the unit, and Monique at the front desk had another room available for us. Thank you so much to both Monique and Ron for your phenomenal customer service. This is my 6th stay here, and for good reason. I will see you during our next vacation!

They are supposed to offer room service from the Italian Restaurant next door and then call you to come and get it in person when it is ready! They refused to come up to the room and deliver the food! There are criminals walking up and down the streets cursing at all hours of the day and night. My keycard only worked about half the time and the desk clerk was rude and offered no excuse as to why they were malfunctioning.

I had a canceled flight and voucher from Delta. I waited from 1:30am to 3:00am for the shuttle to pick me up at the airport. I called the front desk several times and was assured there was a shuttle coming. The last time I called, I was told there were no more rooms and it was my fault for not getting to the hotel before the rooms filled up. I had to go back and sleep on the floor of the airport.

Was here for airline training. Unfriendly staff, everything is out of reach without personal transportation. Location is in an industrial area next to airport with walls very thin and a sliding glass door that does nothing to suppress noise from the airport. Very noisy at night could'nt sleep. Shower still inop after trying to get it fixed twice by maintenance. Had to re-locate to another room.

This Wellesley Inn was confortable. It was friendly. There was a lot going on in the morning, a lot of people attending conferences, people coming and going, it gave me a good feeling that the rest of the people picked this Place because it was clean, confortable, and it gave me a good feeling.

I was very happy with the room i stayed in at the Wellesley. I spent one night next door at the comfort inn and their room was in poor condition and smelled bad. The Wellesley have very friendly staff and my room was in very good condition. I would choose this place over the comfort inn. Good work Wellesley:)
