Quality Inn and Suites Conference Center, McDonough

We stop here every time we drive from Chicago to Florida to visit my husband's parents. This is an older hotel (formerly a Holiday Inn) that has been very well kept and updated. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The restaurant has good food at a decent price. They often give you a complimentary breakfast--not just continental, but bacon and eggs if you like. Sometimes I try to make grits at home but they are never as good as the grits here. We've also eaten a late dinner that was quite good. Best of all for us, they are dog-friendly. Not only do they allow dogs, but there is a large grassy area away from the road where we can let our dog run around. They clean the rooms very well after each doggy guest--you can't tell that they let dogs stay here. This place is not posh, but it's extremely well-kept and the service is great. I highly recommend it.
