It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at Sweethoteldeals. Net They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

We decided to go somewhere close to celebrate our engagement. When you drive up to the hotel you think you are in the wilderness. The grounds were not manicured. They didn't even bother to blow the leaves. The carpet in the room had very noticeable stains. There were a couple of bare places on the wall as if furniture had been removed. The shower stall was very modern, but the water ran all over the floor. The fixtures in the bathroom were very worn, and this wasn't vintage. During the night the feathers from the pillowtop mattress began to stick through the sheets. I was the only one bothered by this. My fiancee had ran around all day so he just collasped. I wanted to check right out but I felt bad for him and I really didn't want to mess up the day by complaining. I harldly slept at all. When we went down to check out they told us we could have gotten a better room. My point is that we should have gotten a great room from the start. We were not charged for the extra night that we were planning to stay. That is the best thing I have to say about this hotel. I did read reviews prior to making the reservations but I thought maybe the bad reviews just came from picky people. Take my advice read the reviews! To add to the horrible experience when we went out to the "Self Parking" which was $12.00. we found that someone had scrub against the bumper of our car. I will take more notice of reviews. I hope you do to.

The hotel's tagline is "What is your wish?" How about a clean hotel! After several stays at the Perimeter location due to business travel, I'll look for alternative accomodations. On each of my first three stays I encountered what appeared to be fecal stained commode grout, mildew stained shower grout, stained carpets and furniture. On my third stay realizing these conditions were the rule not the exception, I took pictures and shared those with management along with my complaints of a consistent lack of hot water for morning showers and unreliable shuttle service. Management expressed concern and regret for the conditions I encountered and assured that they would inspect the room upon my next visit. So I gave them one last shot, and while the commode grout was clean in this room, the shower still had mildew stains and the carpets and furniture were past needing replacement. But the issue that sealed the deal for me to take my business elsewhere was cold showers again, each morning of my stay. The previous excuse of a boiler issue lacks belief as 3 weeks later the problem still exists. In speaking with other frequent travelers to this hotel, it was suggested that you get your shower in before 7am if you want hot water. What does this say about a hotel if basic traveler's needs of a clean room and hot water can not be meet. Travelers be warned.....stay at your own risk!

I came with my two daughters, ages 8 and 11. We loved the location, the balcony, the beds, and shower. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Dunwoody Metro stop is across the street at the mall. It is a longer walk than I expected, but a short drive across the parking lot and they offer free parking at the station. I read a few negative reviews about parties and loudness at the hotel, but we did not experience that. The hotel was quiet, comfortable, and very accomodating. The restaruant was not very child / family friendly in terms of selections and pricecs, but there are so many choices in the general area it did not really matter. They will send up a microwave and coffee maker free if you ask. The beds and shower were hevenly!

I recently stayed at the W Atlanta Perimeter with my wife. We booked our room through the AAA website and got a great deal. When we arrived, the staff was amazing!!! From the valet attendant who opened our doors and grabbed our luggage to the front desk agent who checked us in and told us all about the hotel and the area, we were very pleased. I was completely amazed that even with the bargain price we got for our stay, we were still treated like royalty by everyone we came in contact with. We booked the W because we were looking for the "stay-cation" we kept hearing about. We definitely found it. The W Atlanta Perimeter is truly an Urban Oasis!!

This hotel is the oldest of the W hotels in Atlanta but still very beautiful. Located within walking distance of the mall, only about 15 min. from downtown, and wonderful service! My friends and I enjoyed our hotel stay. The staff was very friendly, rooms service was quick, and they have a great escorting service 24/7 which comes in handy! During the day the hotel had a tranquil Asian theme, but at night it transformed to a hot spot w/ it's own DJ.

While the service was good. The hotel is in an outdated building. The floor I was on smelled of mold and other floors smelled like cigarette smoke. Not to mention that they turn the lobby into a club at night. I felt like that was a bit inappropriate. They should have a separate area for events like this. Perhaps it was the party goers but there were people yelling in the hallway at all hours of the night/morning. I will not be staying at a W in the near future.

We stayed there a few years ago and it really was one of the BEST experiences my partner and I had at a hotel. Great fun and friendly staff. The hotel is very retro yet stylish. LOVES IT!

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at, the service was excellent, the suite was perfectly clean, there were two large flat panel TVs! The decor was AMAZING! Would stay at the W every night.

If you have allergies, are older than 25, and don't know what a metrosexual is -this is not the hotel for you. Each area of this over designed Ikea furnitured hotel had a different overpowering smell! I slept with the sliding glass door open both nice in order to have fresh air. And took Benedryl every 4 hours. They even have diffusers on the elevator! Noise was another pollution. After 6 the lobby turned into a loud nightclub filled with young hip looking girls wearing almost nothing and young metrosexual males. No wonder the hotel sells "intimacy kits" for use later in the evening. Most of the attendees at our meeting -older white males -felt very uncomfortable the entire time. As did I.
