Doubt I'll return

I attend a local convention in downtown Atlanta every year so this hotel's cost and proximity to the downtown area were very attractive.
Upon arriving though, the room was terrible. Carpet had a big wet spot that had developed a smell. The heater set off the smoke alarm when I turned it on, one of the electrical outlets had no cover on it, and one of the light bulbs was blown.
Aside from that, the front door required a lot of "wiggling" and slamming before the latch would engage. I noticed this quickly, but to my shock when I returned from my activites the second day the cleaning crew hadn't gone through the effort, and I found my door unlatched. Opened right up with just a push. Nothing was taken (most really valuable stuff was with me anyways), but still very unsettling.
I also got an uneasy feeling in the area. Had the gas station attendant calling 911 for harrasing characters outside, and several beggars try to hit me up for money outside in the parking lot. There's also a strip club right next door.
To their credit, the hotel desk staff was nice when issues were brought to their attention, but I still don't think I'll be returning here. On a positive note they did have free wireless internet which seemed to work well.
