National Inn, Augusta

This place should be condemed. The tv remote did not work, the jacuzzi tub was filthy and didn't product enough pressure to move the waterm my socks became soiled by walking on the carpeted floor, the hair dryer outlet had no power, the place smelled horrible, the air conditioner was falling out of the wall, I could go on and on. The city of Augusta (which I wll send a copy of this to) should close this place down and force the owner to have it demolished. The staff at this dump was of no help.

I drove 500 miles to see my fiance stationed there in Augusta. After calling around and finding a good price on a king suite with jacuzzi I decided to stay there, what a mistake. I was there for 4 days and they have a policy that once you are in the room there are no refunds. I paid over $200 for 4 nights in a roach infested room. There were roaches crawling out from the pillows and up the walls. One even crawled into my duffle bag and came home with me, you know it's bad when the roaches are trying to escape the place. Then they were doing construction on the other side of the building and the workers would just walk into your rooms without knocking. The doors don't shut all the way and lock unless you slam them and if you have neighbors everytime they shut there door yours opens. Do not stay in this place pay the extra money and go to the nicer hotel next door. I was there at the beginning of March 2008 so this was pretty recent. My room didn't smell like smoke and the jacuzzi worked so that's about the only good thing there was in that room.

My family and I traveled hundreds of miles hoping to find a nice place to stay,to our surprise this place was extremely unsanitary and the smell of smoke fill the non-smoking rooms.Our experience was awful! We had to leave! Whats more they charged my credit card and I haven't had my money credited to my account yet!(after numerous calls to the motel) We had to pay more money to get some rest in another motel.What a experience!

After paying an outrageous price for a room, the place was in total disrepair. Rooms were dirty, uncomfortable, check-in was disorganized and safety in question.
