Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas Lake Buena Vista Orlando, Orlando

I love this resort! It is very close to Walt Disney World, easy to get to, the staff is very nice, it has fun activites for me and my cousins to do. Our parents like it to, the one thing I like is the SEVEN different pools! it is amazing, I love going there and can't wait to go back and have even more fun this time because it is only me, my cousin, nanny, and pappy this time! NO PARENTS!!!!! that way we can get what we want this time not what our parents say we can! I love this resort it is very pretty!

Just returned from a four night stay. This resort is very convenient to Downtown Disney and the other parks. The room was spacious and comfortable. Swimming in a heated pool in February was a delight for the kids. The resort is quite large so getting around could be an issue for someone without their own vehicle. The nearest pool was about 3 blocks away. Overall I would stay here again.

We just stayed in a 2 bedroom villa in the Cascades section of the resort and absolutely loved it. The staff was helpful and pleasant. We requested a first floor villa in the Cascades section. While we didn't get on the first floor, our villa was located on the third floor just off the elevator. We loved the extra room and the jacuzzi tub was a great amenity for tired feet in the evenings. I highly recommend this resort to everyone. Be sure to ask for a newly renovated section. I believe the Fountains and the Lakes are in the process of being remodeled.

Vistana used to be the place to stay in Orlando. Now if you don't luck into a new building the accomadations are standard at best (although the rates are all the same). The building we stayed in was dated and smelled bad. I couldn't help but feel I was trapped in an 80's nightmare with the white laquer furniture with gold trim. The pools and grounds are still very well maintained and I love the poolside bar. I was not impressed with the way the salespeople spoke poorly of RCI. In my opinion, to talk bad about someone you are affliated with just looks unprofessional and makes you question their business practice. In the end, if you are willing to settle for sub standard accomadations in order to have nice pools and grounds then Vistana is the place for you. My question is..Why would you though with all of the choices in Orlando?

The pools and game rooms were amazing and are good for everyone. There was about 4 pools and a shuffleboard, tennis and basketball court. Big variety and close to all the shopping (WalMart is around the corner!) The staff is nice and the amenities are amazing. One time our room even had a skylight! The room was comfortable and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud.

family members were bitten by bedbugs in 2 separate bedrooms christmas week 2007. we still have the bedbug bites and scars on our bodies to remind us of the sheraton vistana experience. kitchen and bathroom floors were not washed during our 7 day stay at $265.00 per nite. the family we were traveling with experienced the same problem in their room in another building. when we complained to the front desk, we were told "this is florida, you have to expect this". Anyone contemplating staying at vistana should think twice. p.s. We are still under the physician's care for these bites. additionally, you may want to purchase bug spray instead of time shares.

We stayed in the Fountains and I loved it. There was activities for the kids everyday and a hop skip and a jump from most parks. Our room had been newly remodeled and I was very happy!! I will keep going back for sure!!

As a Gold Level owner I was fortunate to stay at the Cascades. Trouble first started with check in. Our room was not ready even thoug it was after 2:30pm and we were told we had a 2:00pm check in. Apparently there was a communication problem with housekeeping and the front desk. Even after we got another room the housekeeper in our building kept following me to explain the problem and that it was the front desks fault. I really didn't care. Then after cooking a Christmas meal our garbage disposal and drain would not work. The next day engineering came with a plunger. He said the plumbing had been done wrong but don't say anything becasue it was job security for him. Then on Wednesday the md-week housekeeping came at 10. I asked them to come later but they said the latest was 1pm. I said ok and got everyone out of the room. Came bace at 2:30pm..they never came. They had our room listed as finished. They came back at 4 so I had to leave again. But the biggest headache were he sales calls. I already own and they have an owners update. Beware. I originally said I would go but decided not to. I got over 6 calls all times of the day and night to reconsider. They just wanted to sell me more propoerty. Other than owning and being near Disney I would not recommend this to any one.

After reading comments about this resort I was a little nervous about what to expect. One review complained about construction going on during their stay so I called the week before we left and found out that there was some construction going on so I asked the woman at the front desk to move us away from it because we were traveling with a young child. We ended up with a great room and didn't hear or see any constuction during our entire stay. We rented a car for the week at Budget which was so simple because it was right at the airport. Since we arrived too early for check in we did precheck in so that when we came back all we would have to do is go to the key desk. We were told about free meals if we sat in on a timeshare meeting but declined and we were never harassed about it again. This resort is so close to Disney that we were able to get there quicker than our family members who were staying at the Contemporary because the monorail and bus transportations was slow. We went to lunch on the last day at Zimmies and would definetely recommend ordering from the bartender instead of the waitress because they were very slow. The pools were great. Just warm enough! During our walks back and forth from the pool our 21 month old loved feeding the ducks the 25cent corn that you can buy by the ponds. Our family members who stayed in the Disney resorts were so jealous of our accomodations and ease of travel that they are now going to stay at this resort with us. This was by far our best vacation ever and this resort had a lot to do with it!

My husband and I have stayed here three times, in both older and newer units, and before this was a Sheraton property. I honestly cannot understand some of the complaints. Although the decor in the older units is dated, the rooms were always cleaned and well-maintained. The pools and other amenities are great. This is far and away the best timeshare we've ever exchanged for, which is why we keep going back. We'd probably go back more often but RCI has a once-every-four-years rule for the property due to its popularity. With regard to the timeshare presentations, we simply said no at the front desk and received no phone calls or reminders during our entire stay.
