Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas Lake Buena Vista Orlando, Orlando

First of all I read the “bed bug” review. My guess is it was a Yankee who is not familiar with sand nats. More than likely that is what tore them up. Now I will start with my negative part. We made reservations for a morning arrival and when we got there our room was not ready. We were told sorry and the first available suite would be ours and they would call us. I sent most of our group ahead to Disney while my wife, youngest daughter and I waited in the car. Now keep in mind this was august and far from cool weather. I also am a disabled Veteran so sitting in a car for long periods of time is not good for me at all. I periodically went in to check the status and was told the same thing, sorry have you looked around our grounds yet. Finally I lost it after 6 hours. They told me our room would be ready at 3 PM. Now that makes it 7 hours in the car engine running and ¼ tank of gas. I would think they would at least offer us a place inside to relax while waiting for our room. We were extremely pleased with our room. It was better than expected. I have traveled all over the world as well this nation and spent time in 5 star hotels as well as flea bag hotels. This beats them all especially for the price. Lots of room and a great view as well as location. (Close to the gate and a pool.) Once there I really didn’t want to leave. There was a full kitchen and they were located 2 minutes from Wal-Mart so you can also save a ton of money by cooking right there in your suite. The Wal-Mart trip was fun as well. It was like a visit to the UN with the people from all over the world in there. I had talked with an owner at the pool who mostly sold me on buying. He has had his time share since the 80’s when it was built and comes back there every year. He also informed me they were building a new part and doing a major renovation of the whole place. His unit is obviously an older one and he told me it will be renovated by the next time he goes there and it will have all new furniture, decorations and even a 42” plasma TV in the den. I went through the seminar and that part was a waist of time as my wife and I had decided to buy before even going in. As noted by others if you get the discount tickets or the cash bonus be ready to sit in on a 90 min seminar on time shares. If you don’t want to go through that don’t get the gifts. It’s that simple. It was not high pressure it was just like any other sales pitch for a time share. I did enjoy it as well as my whole family and we look forward to going back soon. Now just for fun when they ask what your dream vacation is tell them bear hunting in the Yukon. They will be caught at a los for an answer. I had fun with them.

The hotel staff were really nice, courteous, & very accommodating. The room & surroundings were pristine & clean. Everything, except for laundry detergent, were provided. Almost every room seemed to have a lovely view. Ours was of a small pond. The hotel itself is near to a lot of attractions, including but not limited to; theme parks, 2 factory outlets, Walmart, restaurants, gas stations, & etc. My family & I loved this place!

Me and the family loved this place.It was the 2 bedroom master suite with a full kitchen,they also have free Wi-Fi.We stayed in the lakes part of the resort and on the 1st floor with a pond behind us.We were minutes away from all of the parks and the grocery store and walgreens.When me and the wife got tired later in the evening we would go to our room and close the door while the kids had rest of the suite.We stayed a full week and still didn't do everything but it was worth it.This is the place to stay while visiting Disney.

I Luved everything about it i stayed there and had no problem at all....cant wait till july 17th going back again whoopp whoop....LUVED IT NO PROBLEM BUT THE LIZARDS other than that beautiful sighting and beautinful scenery and beautiful pools.....EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFULL

cascade unit bed bugs galore ------------------------------ we booked a 2 bedroom cascade unit and stayed christmas week 2007. daily maid service was requested but not provided as promised. the third day everyone discovered bites on all our bodies and sure enough each bed had bed bugs in them. i called the desk and was told bedbugs are everywhere in florida. four hours later they striped the beds and took the room out of service. but paying $265 per nite i guess included bed bugs. we were moved to a different room four hours later but the body bites on all of us ruined our florida vacation. when we checked out, gladly, no adjustment whatsoever was made to our bill. we will neeeever stay at vistana again. anyone thinking of staying there should get their head examined as four months later we are still under dermatologists care for the bites and scares on all of us. p.s. they try to fool people into getting "discount" park tickets by offering timeshare presentations with high pressure sales staff. pay for the tickets in full. don't even think of attending or worse still buy any units from sheraton unless you have stock in bed bug medicine stock companies. p.p.s. we were advised by our doctors to throw away all of our luggage that was in our unit to not bring bed bugs home with us!! nice finish to a vacation, huhhhhhh!!!

I love the the cleanliness and the kindness to adults and kids from the workers. They have amazing restuarants and the pools are so refreshing. They're are so many excellent delights and I hope everyone gets a chance to explore this fun fest!!!

We stayed for a week in a two bedroom unit. With three kids, it was wonderful to have the space. The kids loved the pool. With the ping-pong table, pool table, and arcade next to the pool, the kids were in heaven. We had a problem accessing the internet and someone came to our unit within minutes, was friendly and helpful. We will definately stay here again!

Our villa looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 10 years. It was disgusting. The furniture was soiled, the floors were filthy, it was musty feeling. I would not even allow my kids to set on the floor. I was going to stay one night and leave in the morning but after calling for the shuttle 3 times and after an hour it never coming I called a taxi and left and went down the street to Caribe Royale which was cheaper and CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL. If you are not a time share holder and do not receive a remodeled villa FORGET IT.

If you are looking for a nice, spacious hotel, with plenty of pool space for all guests (old and young), Vistana is a great pick. We just got back from staying there 8 nights (kids spring break) in middle March. Our room was in the Lakes area, which is the closest to the zero-depth pool. Our room was a two bedroom, two bath aparment. The room has central vac if you need to vacuum up after kids - which was nice for us. The room also has a washer/dryer combo unit. The kitchen comes with everything you would need, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, all the dishes you need, and so on. The room is very spacious. One room had two full size beds, the living room has a hide-away bed, and the master has a king with it's own bathroom and jacuzzi tub. Oh, and there were 25"-27" LG Plasma TV's in each room. (3 TV's total). For food or anything else you might need, there is a Super WalMart 4 stop lights away. The WalMart has a Disney section, shirts, collectibles, beach towels, etc. There is a Walgreens/Chic-fil-a/Wendys/Gas station next to the hotel property. As for pressure about buying a timeshare, we didn't experience that at all. We did receive calls while we were at the parks telling us we had a welcome packet to pick up. I'm sure that's the initial timeshare approach. We ignored the messages and we never bothered beyond that. As for the other reviews about the older sections/renovations/etc. We only saw renovations in the Fountains area (next to the Lakes). I would strongly recommend calling ahead or when you book you room, you request the Lakes or Cascades area. (Probably in another month or so, I would add Fountains to the recommendation) For the price and space, we were extrememly pleased with the Vistana. We also bumped into some people who were staying at the Vistana Villages and they said those were comparable to the Vistana Resort. Highly recommend this place.

After a friend of ours let us use his timeshare at Vistana one year we decided to buy one of our own.. We love it there Our children are grown but now we have grandchildren to share our vacations with... We have one of the older sections(springs) and we just love it.. Everything is being updated soon also...
