Not a Travelodge Franchise any longer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/09
The Travelodge Front Desk is no longer in service. The rooms are and always have been individually owned and were being managed by a company whose service was lacking. Because of this most of the owners had quit using their services by January of 2009 and the front desk closed in June of 2009. Now you will get a great price and location if you can do without the daily maid service. You must rent from the individual owners at places like www.vacationrentals.com or a local realtor. I rented a studio for Biketoberfest week for $315.00 including taxes. How can you beat that for value.

A dump!
The rooms smell of mildew, have old furniture. The staff only does the minimum required of them. Check in wait can be long at times. This is a somewhat sprawling motel looking property that occupies 2 lots. Many many different types of rooms. There is a very large unit on the top floor, not so bad, but overpriced.

i will not come back

there is no atm on site and there is not a resturant in the motel. This is all a lie and i plane on doing something about it. Maybe a law suite.

Rent Directly From the Owners
By Terri & Steve, 05/09/09
Each of these units are individually owned & until recently most were rented to guests via the front desk which is owned & operated by SouthEast Hotel Management. SEHM is clueless. Most of the owners have pulled their units, updated them & are renting directly to vacationers. These rooms will be clean & fresh & updated & definately worth your stay. Check out vacationrentals.com or rentalo.com for more information & to rent directly from the owner. Then I'd give it 4 stars across the board!

Stay somewhere else if you can
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/08/09
This place is no longer a Travelodge and looks way better in the photo than in person. The rooms are very old and tired and the staff is not helpful at all. The night we were there the police came twice and it was NOT spring break, bike week or even nascar week!

Don't Be Fooled!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/09
Brought family for a few days at the beach after Disney. Checked out 10 minutes after checking in. Dirty, dark, tiny room, and certainly not what the picture shows. Find another place!

Great Value-Pool with all day Sun.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/08
We wanted an inexpensive ocean front hotel with a great pool overlooking the beach. We got what whe wanted. It looks like there were originally 3 hotels turned into one resort. We stayed in the center building, 2nd floor studio with no view, Room 232. The room was small but very clean. It had two burner cooktop, microwave and refrigerator. We heard from others that they had just renovated the 6 story building. The resort has an onsite Pizza/Sub shop, Pool side Tiki Bar and 7-11 across the street. One of the pools is located on the side and gets sun from dawn to dusk. Beautiful very large deck with 2 pools, 1 kiddie pool, plenty of lounge chairs, umbrella covered tables, grills and picnic tables. We could walk up the beach to the restaurants at Ocean Walk and the Daytona Lagoon water park, I guess 3/4 mile. We found out the rooms are individually owned and Travel Lodge manages them so ask to tour your room first as they are all different. We loved it and thought it was a great value. Ice was available at the front desk we made lots of trips cause we made lots of Pina Coladas. Blender and insulated cups were supplied with our room. The only thing I didn't like was I had to go to the lobby to get the internet.

Very relaxing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/07/08
My wife and I are in our mid thirties and truely enjoyed this hotel. Both pools were very clean and maintained. Rooms were spacious and clean. We went for Spring Break and didn't have a problem with any obnoxious drunk teens. Marion ( owner that you find running the tiki bar ) runs a tight ship and doesn't let anything slip through the cracks. Also very nice and clean gym. Very relaxing and we will go back.
