Will not go to this Hilton again

What I liked about this hotel was the location, restaurant, food, price, view... It is a beautiful hotel and location. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and needed a place to stay before and after our cruise. On our first visit nothing was bad at all. We liked it so much when got there we were easily upsold to get a suite instead of a regular room. We even went to there pricey restaurant and spent more than ever on dinner with smiles on our faces! The guy behind the desk should sell cars, and the waiter I trust is a very rich man!
However, our visit the second time around was not so good. We were treated like second class citizens. Not sure if we didn't look rich enough, or what. Our cruise actually came in early and we were not familiar with Miami so we went directly to the Hilton. When we went to the counter to check in they said no, indefinately. No exceptions! We were forced to walk around the hotel, then sleep by the pool, sat around, etc. for 4 hours! If that was our plan to lounge around that day, then fine, but to be forced to waste our time on the last day of our honeymoon/vacation? That is totally unacceptable service. To say that our room is not ready as an excuse is quite understandable. But, we offered to upgrade to a suite, again, and was told only at that point that they didn't want to make an exception for us! Why? We were tired and really just wanted the room we reserved and offered to pay extra to get in! Again, absolutely absurd, and rude!
For how we were treated on our second visit, we do not recommend going to this hotel unless you feel like going somewhere that offers inconsistent service. Consistent service is cornerstone for continual success. Thank you.
