Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel, Tampa

I brought my 16 year old and 2 of her friends to see the "Black Eyed Peas" at the Fourm. We checked in and was greeded by a wonderful young man named Kile. He gave us a review of all the hotel had to offer and had us in our room in 5 min. Now traveling with3 young ladies can be stressfull. I was not looking foward to getting the car to the concert and parking. Well In the lobby of the Sheraton is the Tampa Taxi Company across for the front desk. We took there boat from the dock at the hotel almost to the front door of the Fourm, in 6 min. No parking or traffic. They picked us up at the end of the concert and back to the hotel in 5 min. What a great service. Now my girls wat to go to every concert In Tampa, and ARRIVE IN STYLE. Buffet breakfast as very good and had a good slection. We will Be Back.

I was in Tampa and I stayed at the Tampa Riverwalk last February for 3 nights, and got treated like royalty! The room was amazing, the hotel staff went out of their way to make me comfortable too. The hotel manager came over, introduced himself, and proceeded to make fun of the Toronto Maple Leaf jersey I was wearing. I loved it! Connie,my waitress in the hotel restaurant was a delight, and made me feel very much at home. I would highly reccommend this hotel to anyone.

I chose to book here because it was close to the Forum, thinking not to pay parking, stay within walking distance. I was charged $16 for parking without being told by ANYone, without it listed on any website including Sheraton's. The carpets are stained, the view and room are not as pictured. (though the staff is very nice the only GOOD thing from this place) For half the price I could have stayed somewhere like Hoilday Inn Express or La Quinta without "parking overnight" fee (isn't that what staying at a hotel is anyway?) with better conveinces that I wouldn't have to search for! Dont stay here, the fancy name means nothing.

We stayed to be near the hospital for surgery. When we arrived we were told that the shuttle did not start until six, and we had to be at the hospital about 5:30am..Daniel said he would come in a little early and take us....He did! That really helped us out even though we could have taken a cab...everyone was super nice to us...valets looked after our car, Daniel, desk workers and even the afternoon shuttle driver picked us up after the surgery...we had a very nice experience...a good place if you are down for surgery. Only disappointment would have to be restaurant...food was not very good...pretty but not good....

I couldn't tell if I was at a hotel or a frat party. Despite decent accommodations and convenience to business areas in Tampa, it was not worth the loss of sleep I incurred from my different neighbors each night. One Friday night the hotel had some sort of party in their little ballroom area downstairs until 12 a.m. and the music and deep bass could be heard clearly in our room. My different neighbors each night seemed to wake me up around 1 a.m. talking loudly, coming in and out of their rooms and people from other rooms banging on the door to come in. Despite securities efforts after I'd finally call and complain they couldn't seem to get it under control. Some would just move down to the pool and party down there - which could also be heard clearly in our room. Don't stay in this hotel if you plan on getting to sleep and staying asleep before 2 a.m. They're also going through renovations right now (04/20/08) - and they'll be doing construction on-site during the week from 8:30 a.m. It's also valet parking only.

Do not use the valet service at this hotel. We did and several hundred dollars later we were sorry we did. Our car was returned to us with several dents and scratches in it that the parking operator refused to take responsibility for. I sent an estimate along with pictures of the damages to 717 parking and received a letter from the management denying the damages were caused by their service. These dents and scratches were not there prior to leaving the car with the valet. The hotel does not offer self parking. Buyer Beware!

Housekeeping ...what housekeeping. the rooms were not cleaned properly before we checked in and we had to get the housekeeper in to clean up.. coffee pot was dirty and the towels, well..... rooms and hallways smelled musty and lighting in hallways very dull...would NOT go back... Very disappointed in food..... for the $$$ though...you get what you pay for overall. Valet service was good.

During our very recent stay there our room did not seem to have been cleaned "to Sheraton Standards" prior to our arival. The sheets were a brownish yellow and seemed to have been slept on before. First we tried to find the stateroom attendant, however, we found the cart of clean towels with a dirty broom on top instead. We immediately notified the front desk clerk Amanda who asked us if we would like to wait while they clean it or change to a different room. We decided to change to another as it was already 5:00pm. The room seemed a little cleaner, however, the sheets were a shade of grey and unironed. The towels were ripped and had threads hanging from them. The following morning I tried to use the coffemaker, only to find that the old, used coffee filter from the previous guest was still there. The Manager Mr. Rick Bollinger does not seem to be present or investigating such events. We paid $150 for a Motel. The only thing saving this hotel is the location and the friendly valet staff.

To stay at this hotel and have your own car the only parking available is through the valet service $14.00 a night. Upon leaving the hotel the next morning, I found that someone had driven my car during the night while in the care and custody of the valet service. There was an open beer bottle in the cup holder of the front seat and worse - someone had thrown up all over the driver's seat, floor and outside running board. The gas gage was down at least a fourth of a tank. It was the weekend of my sister's wedding and we had a pressing appointment at 11:00 in St. Petesburg, making the resolution of this issue rushed. The manager said he would comp our room and attempted to have the car clean, but is was rushed and done very unsatifactory and we had to ride in my car with a horrible odor. Since, we have found a charge on our credit card for the room, therefore, the manager was not good to his word. Once we arrived at our appointment, along with my family members - we inspected the car more thoroughly and found that the front grill had a large ding and several little dings in it that hadn't been there previously. Myself and my stepfather made several calls into the hotel to speak to the manager, but he never returned any of our calls. The valet service did call us and said that they would pay for the cleaning which was only $48.15, but not for repairs to the grill because management is telling them another story. It's obvious that since they said they would pay for the cleaning and comp the room (which they did not follow through with), that they are admitting to a wrong done by their service. The first room that I stayed in smelled really bad and the windows did not open. The 2nd room was ok...or so my friend and I though. At check out day, lets just say we discovered the room had not been cleaned prior to us staying in it, very personal items were discovered under the bed... Good location, and they do have a shuttle service, but to park your car there is $14 a day...
