Sand Pebble Resort, Treasure Island

If you are even considering staying here GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.. This is without a doubt the worst place my family and I have ever stayed. First of all the rooms are horrible and smell, the furniture dates from the 1970's, the TV's are minuscule, the carpet disgusting, the paint chipping, this is definitely one of those cheap timeshare deals from the 80's and the staff and clientele reflect that environment. Second if you have CHILDREN at all this is NO place to bring them, this retirement community staff and guest makes them feel unwelcome from the start. This is like vacationing at a retirement home, a really weird vibe to say the least, the entertainment is absolutely painful (yes they still play disco here!), and the staff laughable, plus lots of rules and regulations enforced to top off that wonderful vacation experience from hell. Unless you enjoy the emotional exchange... what ever you do stay someplace else !!!!!

This place is fantastic. Huge condos, huge bedrooms, huge closets, full kitchen. Great views from our balcony and great pool and hot tub. Right on the beach and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Staff was the best of anywhere I have visited. They now have free Wi-Fi in all units and are in the process of getting a second elevator and remodeling the present one. Will definitely go back.

I have been at the resort two times, most recenty for my daughter's wedding last August. The accomodations are immaculately clean, spacious, fabulous location, clean white sandy beaches and the staff is very accomodating. I look forward to coming back in the very near future. The location of the resort is also very central to great restaurants such as Scully's and quaint shopping areas such as John's Pass. I would definitely recommend the Sand Pebble as the perfect vacation spot on the west coast of Florida.

I have been going to Sand Pebble for 10 years now and I love it everytime I go. The pool and beach are wonderful! It truly is a relaxing vacation. We love to go shopping down at John's Pass which is less than a mile away. This year we went out snorkeling to Egmont Key Island which was a blast. The Gulf Coast has the best sunsets.

Super friendly staff, beautiful location and spacious room. Absolutly great experience. Nightly activities, clean rooms...couldn't get any better! Would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks!

Smaller laid back atmosphere with just the right amount of casual and relaxation you would want on a vacation. Great beach area to view the magnificent sunsets, and the beach is very clean. Will definetly stay here again.

I loved the location within walking distance of Johns Pass which is a wonderful place to shop and be able to eat and watch the dolphins playing. We loved the convenience of being right on the beach. We loved the pool area but wish that the bar would have been open in the evenings and maybe some live music in the evenings also. We felt the palce could use some updating. A faster elevator to start with. The pull down bed could have used a new mattress and not a piece of foam over the top of the old one. For the price we paid I figured on a little more modern facility then what we got. I don't feel that we will be back again. The resort is rated a 5 on the internet I would give it a 3 for some things and a 4 for others but difinetly not a 5.

The location on Treasure Island was great however it is a 25 year resort that has not been properly maintained. Metal doors were rusty and in need of paint. Rooms were dated and furniture worn. Our room did not have air conditioning controls. They were in the room next door. We had one bedroom unit that was labeled room number then a "B" and the other half of the corner room was labeled "A" and had all of the controls. Pools were nice and the beach was great. No stores or anything else on site. The slowest elavator around. However the overall experience was good. Many nice restrarents close by and stores nearby.

This is such a friendly place. The staff tries its best to help you and the other guests are very friendly. Many of them have been coming here for many years. The place was very clean. The second bedroom, which is small in so many places, was large with two double beds. There was a king size bed in the master suite and even more closet space than I have at home-a regular closet plus a walk in closet and double sinks. Very nice. You go down the elevator and you are at the pool and spa. It is on the beach, not across the street as so many resorts are. The prices are quite reasonable and we plan to go again. It is a ten minute walk to John's Pass with its stores, restaurants and boats and a block away from the Suncoast bus that goes up and down the island. It's good if you are a group with only one car because you can still get around independently. There is wireless internet in the lobby

We just returned from Sand Pebble Resort in Treasure Island, Florida. Already, my kids are begging to go back. The condo we were assigned was very nice and very clean. We had a beautiful ocean view from our balcony and enjoyed listening to the waves at night. The beach was loaded with shells and sand dollars making it easy to collect souvenirs. The staff was very helpful and organized and we all enjoyed the activities (bingo, contests, get acquainted party...) The pools and hot tub were wonderful and well maintained. We only had one sleepless night due to inconsiderate people partying until 4 am but the next nights were quiet. I'm sure that management took care of this problem efficiently since this is definitely a family friendly resort and not a nightclub. We'll return as soon as possible to this treasure.
