VERY BAD!!!!
By Todd, 5/24/12
At the end of March, My family stayed at the Fort Walton Beach plaza. When we checked into the room, we noticed right away it was dirty. There was black hair on the blanket. A hole in the wall around the electrical outlet and a roach crawled across my 1 year olds hand. I have photos of all of this. I called the front desk and told them I wanted a different room. They told me I would have to pay to change rooms. I told them I have no choice, we were told no refunds and we could not stay in that room for safety issues, (the open electrical outlet). They called back and said they would move us for free. We got to our second room and it was just as dirty. The port a crib we asked for was stained and smelled. We had to call and ask for a second one. This too was stained but did not smell as bed. We then called down and asked for some plates to be brought up to our room. We were told that if we were not ordering food we would have to come get them ourselves. After almost two months, and filing reports with Wyndham and the hotel, The General Manger fixed the problems after the state came in and told him he had 24 hrs to do so. I have all the emails save as well as the Fl state report. All he would offer us was $100 for the troubles, and that is after I reported him to the state. He has been rude to me on the phone and lying about our stay. My family will not give up till everyone knows how bad this place is!

wonderful!!
By BeverlyT, 6/28/10
My family and I have been coming to this hotel for 3 years now!!! This place is wonderful. I feel extremely safe here, they have security guards monitoring the grounds constantly. Parking would be my only issue with this facility, but other than that it's a great place to stay and we will definitely come again :)

as a child I spent my summers at this hotel. Now I have taken my kids here. We love it. It never changes......the Garden Cafe looks just like it did in the 70's I LOVE IT!

We will definitly go back next summer!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/09
The Ramada was a very nice hotel. It was in a perfect location, right on the very beautiful beach. Very kid friendly. It is a little piece of paradise right there in Florida. It's two pools and three bars are very relaxing for those who want to get away and spend their time by the water soaking up the suns rays. We will definitly go back next summer if the rates stay as reasonable as they were when we went.

Great Location, Highly Recommend but prices
By Rebel, 10/17/08
I grew up coming here every summer. Loved it as a kid and now as an adult. You can not beat the location, directly on the beach. The gardens are beautiful, the pools, the grotto, love it. As a kid I did not appreciate all of the security walking around, but now that is one of the main reasons I feel comfortable taking the little tykes here. My only issue, prices have dramatically increased.

Awesome I had a blast wish it was summertime to swim they had some great pool and hot tubs. The Hotel reminds me of Marriott on some levels especially the conference rooms

Who would want to stay anywhere else.
By Misty, 1/29/08
It's absolutely amazing!!! It's so stress relieving and beautiful to look out and see the beautrful water. The last trip we took here(7/2007) we spent most of the time at the pools-the weather had the water a bit murky, but we LOVED every single minute. Poolside is always great, but the way the Ramada's pools are arranged and landscaped are pure bliss. The splash garden was a hit with all the kids and even us adults.*grin* Having to leave was unbelievably sad!! I even say a tear in my husbands eye. The total package and beauty of it all is well worth the price!!! Can't wait to return.

Resort??? More like old Dormitory!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/28/07
The lobby was very nice and the pool areas were as well. Unfortunately, that was about the only positive things that this place offered in my opinion. If you stay in the rear building called the "Towers" you may be disappointed (at least we were). It was more like a dormitory. The green doors in the hallways were ugly, the hallways smelled unpleasant and the rooms were tiny. There wasn't a closet area; just a place to hang your clothes. The bathroom was tiny and the tub even tinier. The air conditioning unit in the room was also pretty noisy; especially at night. Parking was atrocious. The lot by the building was always full, so you had to park way up front and walk a country mile to get back to the building. I felt that it was overpriced for what we got and we got a discount off the regular price. I was also informed by a local resident that it has changed names and management a number of times. When I think of a resort, a "motel-style" facilty does not come to mind. I'm so glad we didn't pay full price. Needless to say, we won't stay there again.

Awesome Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/26/07
We just returned from Fort Walton Beach, FL and are already starting to plan another return trip. The hotel was great! It is right on the beach so access to the beach is easy; the Groto Pool and swim up bar is an awesome experience and the lush landscape gives one the thought that you are in a rain forest atmosphere or better yet Hawaii. The only draw back would be the breakfast buffet. I wouldn't recommended it. Go to "another cracked egg" or "the donut hole" for breakfast. The staff is also a plus and were very helpful in many ways!!

Better than a condo!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/25/07
We've stayed here twice already this summer and rather stay here over a condo because of all it has to offer! The location is perfect....We love to walk next door to the pier and shops while avoiding the busy traffic in destin. It's awesome for kids of all ages. My 10 year old "LOVES" the planned activities and was definately an incentive to return. The staff is awesome! I know that's not always the first thing you think about while on vacation but it's so nice to see familiar faces year after year that we really feel like we're home away from home. The beautiful gardens, the pools, the staff, the location, the entertainment by the beach, and the memories.........that's why we go every year!!
