NEVER AGAIN
By Lucy, 12/23/09
When we arrived we went up to our room to find another family still in there!! Complained to reception and was given another room, which had the door handle was hanging off and the door wouldnt open. Was fixed but took quite a while. Room was VERY dated and in desperate need of some TLC! There was a lot of building work going on at the hotel which we were not told about at anytime on the lead up to our stay. When we asked about the work we were told it was only cosmetic and there would be no loud noise. WRONG!!! We were rudely awoken most days during out 14 night stay by loud banging at 5.30am and the drills, circlar saws etc carried on throughout the day. The staff weren't very helpful. When asking them about travel to and from the parks they are desperate to sell you everything they can. They charge $16 each way per person to the Disney Transportation Centre and the bus times are very limited and can be difficult to get on (especially after wishes). We then found out after a week by a really lovely i-ride driver that there is a bus that goes from opposite Seaworld to Downtown Disney and to the Disney Transportation Centre. These run every half hour and are fairly easy to get on as it is public transport!! From the hotel it was costing us $4 each per day to get to disney and that was on 2 buses (#8 from i-drive to Seaworld and #50 to Disney). I dont think i could ever reccomend this hotel to anyone (even my worst enemy!)

Terrible experience at first, but worked out
By JGFree, 08/15/09
Arrived at hotel after getting into MCO about 1am. Went to check in, but reservation in computer had been made for the next day, Aug 9th, instead of the 8th which I had requested. Hotel was completely booked and we had no where to go at 2am in the morning. Lady was nice enough to call sister property and get us a room there for the same rate, so the situation worked its way out....still a mighty inconvenience though to not have a room for you when you expect it that early in the morning.

YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET!
By Amelia, 01/24/09
Arrived at the hotel, after checking in, got called over to another desk, offering us half price tickets to attractions. Little did we know it was to do with going to have a look at time shares. Yes we fell for the age old trick! But saying that, we did get attraction tickets a lot cheaper and only took 3 hours out of our day although did feel a little intimedated by salesmen when taken to look at timeshare. Taken by golf cart to timeshare so you couldn't just get back in your car and go, had to wait for them to take you back. The hotel has a mini supermarket, a small games room and a bar. There is karaoke in the bar some evenings and a pool table. The rooms in the hotel are very basic but are in real need of decorating as decor is getting old. I remember staying here some 15 years ago. Back then the hotel was of a good standard but ware and tear makes it tired. Our room had this sick smell to it. We had the deluxe room which has a microwave and coffee machine although I did not use, coffee machine as it was dirty, Some nights very noisey with kids running past rooms and even got woken up one night by some kids who knocked on our door by mistake. If you enjoy a holiday, with a certain class of British people then this hotel is for you. Otherwise pay a bit extra and go somewhere else. The highlight of our stay at this hotel was meeting a couple whilst in the bar, Kerri and Kevin from Bristol. They had been on a cruise with Virgin, which they really enjoyed. We got on really well with them but shame it was our last night there and we did not get contact details for them. Please get in touch.

The worst place I ever stayed at!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/23/07
I booked this hotel with a flight for a business trip in Spring, 2007. I thought I was getting a real bargain, but NO WAY!! The first room I had, there was caked on food on the microwave, the dust was an inch thick, the alarm clock did not work and the lock did not work on the door. The front desk offered to move me to another room. The second room had a light burned out, mold on the ceiling and the lock on this door did not work as well!!! At this point, it was almost 11PM, and I slept ONE NIGHT there. I did not feel safe, and I got nowhere with the staff!! Needless to say that I booked another hotel the next night, and even though I was not able to get a refund b/c my "package" was non refundable, I didn't care about paying for another hotel. It was that bad!! I'm not fussy and I live simply, but this was simply horrible!! I really learned my lesson about trying to "save" money! DON'T STAY!!!

A cheap, clean place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/07
If you're looking for something that's not far from Disney, that's cheap and clean, this is your place. No, it's not the Ritz, but hey, if you're in Orlando, you're only gonna be in the room to sleep. You're probably going to be at the parks or the pool. The hotel restaurant was great with a $3.99 all you can eat pancake breakfast, and a nice dinner buffet. And if you don't make it to the parks, there is a strip of amusement park type places with games and go carts and such within a couple blocks. Oh, and the pool was very nice.
