Loyal ten year customers....will not be back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/30/09
My husband and I have been ten year loyal customers and our last experience (March 27th) was awful where we will not be back.
We called and made reservations over a week in advance and informed the person taking the reservations that we were bringing our puppy, we were told there was a $25 pet deposit, upon arriving, we were charged $50 and my husband was told that was the fee, no problem, we paid it.
We got horrible hotel neighbors later that evening, we dealt with it. The next day, we were called while away and told our puppy (who was in a kennel) was making people nervous, we cut our day short and came back. We were then told by the person in the office that there is some law stating that you cannot leave your pet in a hotel room, when we questioned her, she changed her story to it is a hotel policy, when we asked to see that policy, we were then told that there really isn't a policy against that. The person at the front desk told us that we were not in a "pet friendly" room and the complaining people should not have to move to another room but that we could pack up 2 small children and a puppy and move. Now remember, I did not assign myself this room when we checked in at 3:00 on Friday afternoon before the complaining hotel neighbors checked in.
Needless to say, after much aggravation, my husband finally convinced the front desk person to refund our money for Saturday after about 30 minutes of discussions, and we left.
I welcome the owners of this hotel to contact me, they should have my husbands cell number on file.
I will find a pet friendly hotel with honest staff running the front desk.
