As Floridians we are used to cold spells in December over the years, however this past month was exceptionally cold and the room's heating system left much to be desired. To begin with, it was set at 85 but the room never reached above 73 and the in room unit was so noisey that even after two complaints to the front desk to get it adjusted, my wife never got a good night'd dleep due to the constant noise the unit made. The front desk told us that was the normal noise the unit makes. We'll never return to this hotel in the winter again. Otherwise, the hotel was comfortable uncluding the sleeper sofa and the staff was very accomodating when requests were made. The suite's accesible shower for my disaabled condition was very good. The dining room, bell staff, and the shops in the lobby make this a very comfortable place to stay while visiting WDW, and the free shuttle bus service with chair lift to the parks was very prompt running to and from the parks with no crowds like the Disney buses because these are chartered for the hotel's guests only. When we arrived to check in the bellman was waiting at the front entrance with the luggage trolley as we pulled up. The only other complaint we have is that the shower contols for adjusting the water temp were very difficult to adjust. Aside from the heating problem and the shower contols, our visit was very comfortable and we would return again, especially since we are Hilton Honors guests.

Great place to stay!

Stayed at Doubletree in Florida in August for 8 days. We were very happy with everything. The staff was so nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and very spacious. It had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with 2 doubles beds and a pull out sofa bed.There is transporation to every park every 30 minutes. The hotel isabout 10 min walk to Downtown Disney. We also bouth our passes form the desk We got park hopper tickets which was great and the way to go! I highly recommend this hotel. It is convenient to everything and reasonable rates. There is no need to pay $$$ for resort hotels, Doubletree is the way to go! And you can get freshed baked cookies anytime you want them!

Enjoyed our stay

Just back from a 5 day stay, and first trip to WDW. The staff was extremely helpful and always upbeat and polite. The size of the room was great. The shuttles to the park were usually standing room only since it was the lasy stop on the route. Although the hotel is on the resort the guests are not elligible for the magic hours, which is strange since the Hilton, two doors down is. Very convenient to I-4, as a matter of fact, you can see the interstate right outside the window. The room package included breakfast each morning, well worth the extra $. The parking fee of $8.00 per night made no sense since the parking lot gates were never locked, anyone could have parked and not payed.

I loved the spacious rooms, microwave, fridge and flat screen TV's. My kids had enough space to play even with the table in the living area room. The staff was warm and helpful.

Rude Awful Employees !!

The location and room size were good, but not enough to off set the extremely poor attitude and bad service by the employees. I had a small issue, but the rudeness and lack of caring by the staff and management in my attempts to resolve the problem, left me totally upset and frustrated. This just about ruined what had until then been a great time with my family at Disney World. My recommendation: enjoy Disney World, but Stay The Hell Away From This Hotel !!

Not the best hotel

We woke up in the morning to find a couple of bugs crawling around the kitchen area. Other than that, it was pretty clean.

Very friendly, comfortable hotel!

We found the Doubletree employees to be very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again when visiting Disney World!

Do not stay here

First the good: 1) Suite, so nice separate bedroom with another room to do work, or watch TV. 2) Courteous staff. 3) Walking distance from Downtown Disney 4) Same Disney benefits (i.e. if you shop in the park or at Downtown D' your package will be shipped to your hotel at no charge. The bad: 1) Walls are not sound proof, or even close. You could hear everything from adjacent rooms. 2) Shuttle to parks lacked schedule. You would have to wait in the parking lot of parks for dont know how long until your bus shows up (its not Disney buses). 3) Dirty rooms with malfunctioning shower faucet Would not stay again

Great hotel for the price

My family like the "suite" arrangment. We would sit together in the living/dining area for meals and watch TV together, then at bed time, separate rooms for those who want to stay up and read or continue with the TV and the other room for those early-to-bed with lights out. Restaurant food was delicious, bus service to the theme parks was timely and saved us the cost of a rental car, front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is within waling distance to Downtown Disney or the opposite direction to lots of good restaruants. All in all - great place for the price.

Not to shabby

I liked that it was close to the Disney Village and very close to the stores and fast food places. What I didn't like was that it over looked I-4 and it was noisy from the traffice by the pool area
