NOT WORTH GOING BACK - DISCUSTING!!
Hello, my name is Ericka, I stayed at the Masters Inn in Orlando, Universal Drive the past week from April the 8th to the 12th. I have been at this hotel last May, I particularly liked it because it is pet friendly. To my sadness, upon our return this last trip I noticed a lot of things have changed. Here are some of the most noticeable points.
1- The service for checking in is no only slow but the person not so nice;
2- Our room was room number 328 which was on a corner next to the staris, which was full or carbage;
3- The room itself, had a leaking, don't know where, since we checked it we noticed the carpet was wet, as the days passed it got worst, it was soaked in water but no where to find where it was coming from, I spoke to someone at the reception and they said they will look on it, but they never did;
4- I had to bed for a"do not disturb" sig since there was none at the room;
5- The microwave was not only discusting, but the door would close, the fridge was also discusting and it would cold at all;
6- The AC was not cooling and the noice it made was like an airplane about to take off, and this noise persisted all night long;
7- The breakfast was not only simple and flavorless, but it usually was gone before 9:00 a.m.;
8- The people cleaning the rooms had a bad attitude and were antisocial;
9- The pool was dirty the surrounding was also dirty and you could see carbage on the halls;
10- The bathroom were also discusting and no soap or clean towels were provided, and when I requested towels from the front desk they gave me 2 eventhough we rented 3 rooms and we were traveling with kids;
11- I had to beg for the parking pass;
12- While in like to get the parkin pass, there was another lady with no hot water, the micro was not working at all, and apparently her fridge was having a short circuit.
It is sad to see that no only the rates have changed, because they quoted me online with tax and everything $135 for 3 nights and then I was charged $151 +$40 per pet fee. The place looks mismanaged, dirty, neglected, the employees don't care about the guest staying, they allow drunk people running around the halls at late hours of the night or really early in the morning, I honestly came back because I had a fair experience last may and even convinced my family and friends to come and stay at the hotel as well, needless to say that they are extremelly disappointed and discusted with what they had to deal with during their stay.
This hotel needs better management, a better beds, real pillows, clean towels, and definetelly a dry carpet, whomever is the manager should be fired and replaced with someone that really needs the job and that really wants to bring customers in and wants those customers to leave happy and return, eventhough the hotel is pet friendly, they require the pets to stay in crate in the hotel room and even when they do they don't do the housekeeping, if this hotel continues like this sooner or later someone will file a legal complaint against it, because all that its stated on the web site :
"You won’t be disappointed when you choose one of the many Masters Inn Hotel locations!..." "... At Masters Inn, we understand value: you will pay less, but that doesn’t mean you get less."
Since it is actually false adversiting. The experience I had with this hotel on April 2009 was the worst and for sure will not go back to it anymore.
