NOT WORTH GOING BACK - DISCUSTING!!
By Ericka G., 4/14/09
Hello, my name is Ericka, I stayed at the Masters Inn in Orlando, Universal Drive the past week from April the 8th to the 12th. I have been at this hotel last May, I particularly liked it because it is pet friendly. To my sadness, upon our return this last trip I noticed a lot of things have changed. Here are some of the most noticeable points. 1- The service for checking in is no only slow but the person not so nice; 2- Our room was room number 328 which was on a corner next to the staris, which was full or carbage; 3- The room itself, had a leaking, don't know where, since we checked it we noticed the carpet was wet, as the days passed it got worst, it was soaked in water but no where to find where it was coming from, I spoke to someone at the reception and they said they will look on it, but they never did; 4- I had to bed for a"do not disturb" sig since there was none at the room; 5- The microwave was not only discusting, but the door would close, the fridge was also discusting and it would cold at all; 6- The AC was not cooling and the noice it made was like an airplane about to take off, and this noise persisted all night long; 7- The breakfast was not only simple and flavorless, but it usually was gone before 9:00 a.m.; 8- The people cleaning the rooms had a bad attitude and were antisocial; 9- The pool was dirty the surrounding was also dirty and you could see carbage on the halls; 10- The bathroom were also discusting and no soap or clean towels were provided, and when I requested towels from the front desk they gave me 2 eventhough we rented 3 rooms and we were traveling with kids; 11- I had to beg for the parking pass; 12- While in like to get the parkin pass, there was another lady with no hot water, the micro was not working at all, and apparently her fridge was having a short circuit. It is sad to see that no only the rates have changed, because they quoted me online with tax and everything $135 for 3 nights and then I was charged $151 +$40 per pet fee. The place looks mismanaged, dirty, neglected, the employees don't care about the guest staying, they allow drunk people running around the halls at late hours of the night or really early in the morning, I honestly came back because I had a fair experience last may and even convinced my family and friends to come and stay at the hotel as well, needless to say that they are extremelly disappointed and discusted with what they had to deal with during their stay. This hotel needs better management, a better beds, real pillows, clean towels, and definetelly a dry carpet, whomever is the manager should be fired and replaced with someone that really needs the job and that really wants to bring customers in and wants those customers to leave happy and return, eventhough the hotel is pet friendly, they require the pets to stay in crate in the hotel room and even when they do they don't do the housekeeping, if this hotel continues like this sooner or later someone will file a legal complaint against it, because all that its stated on the web site : "You won’t be disappointed when you choose one of the many Masters Inn Hotel locations!..." "... At Masters Inn, we understand value: you will pay less, but that doesn’t mean you get less." Since it is actually false adversiting. The experience I had with this hotel on April 2009 was the worst and for sure will not go back to it anymore.

Amazing!
By Katie, 2/19/08
Although this hotel is cheap, do NOT let it put you off! It's smack-bang in the middle of I-Drive. We booked this hotel not expecting it to be brilliant. For the price you get everything! We stayed in a room with two double beds, all we wanted was one! The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms get cleaned everyday. The hotel pool is small but very welcoming. All the rooms have wi-fi internet access at no extra cost. It's perfect if you want somewhere to stay when visiting theme parks or shopping. You can just jump on the I-Ride or Lynx and be at Prime Outlets, Premium outlets, The Florida Mall, Universal, Wet and Wild. Also the hotel has a free Disney Shuttle bus which picks you up and drops you off at a resonable time! It's right next to an amazing restraunt (Unos), has a Walgreens right by it, is on the corner of Sand Lake and I-Drive, is convenient for the convention centre and has a trolley stop right outside.

a solid 3 ...
By Aimee, 4/13/07
If you're going to spend most of your time at the theme parks and do not require upscale accomodations, then this is a good bet.

Roaches!!!!!
By Kristopher, 2/6/07
I went booked this hotel because of the price and location. At 40 bucks for the night I did not expect much. However one thing I do expect is that the room be free of roaches. We were in room 106. Well the 1st trip I needed to make was to the bathroom after a long drive from South Florida. Well while going to the bathroom a huge roach was crawling around on the door. I went to the front desk and informed the person working the desk. He said sorry and moved me to room 103 (three doors down). Well I did not notice any roaches that night and the next day was out the entire day. I checked the room again (actually several times because now I was worried I would be covered in them while I slept). I did not find any. Went to bed the second night of my stay did not get much sleep because of the worry for roaches. Well I got up around 6am to go to the bathroom and guess what? Yes more roaches. right on the sink and after I killed that one I turned around and saw two more on the in room safe. I killed it and put it in a cup for the clerk for when I checked out. I brought it to the attention of now what seemed to be the manager Robin. She gave me a $20 credit. How nice I got 5 bucks per roach kill. While I was checking out the housekeeping staff was there talking and heard me say roaches and went on to say that "This is Florida there are roches every where" one even said "I have roaches in my car". I did call Masters Inn and expressed my concern about the condition of the place and the Customer Service Rep said "Well Florida is a sub tropic area and there are going to be roaches". Well I live in South Florida (much more sub tropic than Orlando). And I can happily say I do not have roaches in my house. I dont even have them in my car. Anyway if you are thinking of staying at this hotel take a pass. There are other hotels in the same price range that are much cleaner. I visit Orlando at least once a month I know.

Masters Inn-Orlando
By Don, 12/28/06
Our stay in December was excellant - only complaint we had was that the housekeeping staff arrived very early in the morning, but we were normally heading out on a Disney or Universal adventure early anyways. Hotel has a very convienient location to Universal, Wet & Wild and Sea World - and a short 15 minute drive to Disney. The Hotel provides a continental breakfast each morning and I really enjoyed the computer access in the lobby-made it easy to keep up on my emails and also was able to pre-print our boarding passes for our flight home.

Great Value In Orlando
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/2/06
Great location off International Drive Orlando. I'd give 5 stars on location since you major chain restaurants of all variaties, Walmart, Walgreen, and outlet shops everywhere. The hotel cleaniness was good, staff pleasant, however at night it can be a little noisy since it is so close to International Drive. Value was great. The bedding slept very well. I'd definitely stay at this location again.

Shhh Don't Tell Anyone! or we won't get a room!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/4/05
Masters is the best! I used to be in the hotel business, and by far for the value, this hotel ranks number one. Being situated among very high priced hotels, right on International drive, with a price like it has is very unusual. The beds are always perfect, the housekeeping is immaculate, the staff is the friendlist staff in Orlando, they will help you accomplish anything you want. I have stayed there twice for my last two vacations, and we are already planning a trip and staying there again! Thanks Masters! If you go there tell Sue behind the desk she rocks! And the Ladouceur's said Hi!!

True we can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/8/05
Everyone was very helpful. The hotel was clean and pleasant looking. A very nice place to spend a quiet holiday. My only regret was the breakfast should have had a choice of fruits as well. I truely enjoyed that late tea I had one night, when we went to Disney. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. This was my second visit and it was even better the second time around. It would be nice to have excess to a computer in the lobby. Great Staff!! Great Place!!
