Courtyard by Marriott/Waterfront, Key West

Its a shame that such a nice hotel on an island like Key West can't keep their guests safe from being robbed.Nothing like returning to your room after a long day to find that your room was CLEANED out (not just clean and tidy)Laptops,designer bags,cameras and bags emptied onto the floor.You need to go thru 2 doors to get into the rooms using a key card.Marriot assumed no responsibilty for the theft nor did their insurance co.(Travlers) Rooms cost 1200.00 plus 3500.00 in theft =$940.00 per day for the room,I gotta tell ya the place wasn't that nice.Not responsible, i'll let the people who use the internet to check out hotels be the judge of that.

Just came back from Key West trip. The hotel staff was great. I had requested a microwave in the room I had booked. They upgraded me to a suite!!. The rooms were clean and nice. It is far from Duval street but they have a complimentary shuttle service which drop off near Duval street. Also near to Publix, Pizza Hut, CVS. Would definitely stay here again.

from check into check out, the service of the hotel staff was wonderful. The pool bar was relaxing. The rooms that faced the pool area had a nice calm and romance about them in the evening. Easy access to the internet, and not far from the attractions of key west. Can not wait to return

stayed at this hotel and thought for the price it was great, kw is outrageously expensive and this place is VERY affordable. You want luxury, go downtown and pay $300+ a night. In addition we had some great experiences dealing with the staff, one in particular... Shayna the night girl, was a real gem and perfect sweetheart when it came to anything we needed or complained about. Extremely professional and curteous...She should get a huge raise (especially for working those crazy hours!)!

The service and pool were great. The location was not the best. It was too far, for Key West standards, from Duval Street and the ocean view was not so wonderful.

We've stayed here twice and our experience has been mixed, but generally pretty good. Although the cafe wasn't open as long as we'd have liked, I'd disagree with the other reviewer saying the menu is overly-limited. We stayed there for almost two weeks and were able to get a good variety of things, and the couple who owns the cafe are extremely personable and nice. On the good side, the rooms *are* decent enough for the price especially considering the alternatives. It's a hot tourist spot. What do you want? If you want a bargian go to Orlando. The pool is one of the best in Key West, and the hotel itself is located away from the hustle and bustle making it a relaxing place to stay. The service from the hotel staff has been mixed. By and large the people there are professional, courteous, and helpful. The last time we went however we got the front-desk person from h311 and had to threaten to leave before a manager stepped in and solved all our problems. Probably an isolated incident. The only thing that downright stinks is the Internet access. Last time I went (Oct 04) they said they'd be replacing it with something more stable. We've stayed at three places on Key West, and overall I still think this Marriot is the nest value we've seen
