Badly managed Hotel

The staff was rude especially the cleaning woman. She would clean our room and remove the towels but not replace them with fresh ones. When we asked for towels, she would just give us an attitude. We told her that we'd complain, and she replied "Go right ahead". We asked for towels, not a nasty attitude. Also, the cleaning woman did not replace our drinking glasses either, as evidenced by the one glass that we'd drunk tomato juice out of the previous day. When we showed her the dirty glass and requested a fresh one, she rinsed out the dirty one in the bathroom, dried it with a towel and handed it back to us. Unbelieveable!!
The water was yellow as previous reviewers noted.
Overall, the hotel seemed clean enough. The pool area was nice and the waitress at the breakfast buffet was very pleasant.
We also had a problem when we realized upon arriving home that we'd left our digital camera in the safe in our room. It took 8 phone calls over a 5 hour span to get someone to finally help us. Whenever the hotel employee on the other end of the line couldn't help us, thet'd tell us to call back in a half hour. When we asked to speak to the manager, we were told that the manager doesn't have a telephone! Obviously it was just a litany of excuses to not help us. Fortunately, we were able to get our camera back only because we have some friends who were in Ft. Lauderdale.
You get what you pay for. This hotel was $59 per night. But given the bad experiences we had, we'd never go back. I considered complaining to Ramada headquarters but it's their responsibility to manage their property.
