Let me tell you, I spent 6 days and 5 nights and they were the best! I love the beach, and how relaxing to be able to go out your door with out having to walk down long halls and elevators to get to the beach, it's right out side your door. Gulf Beach Resort has a private screened in porch to enjoy so be sure to get a room with one attached! One of my favorite things to do is watch the sunset while enjoying a glass of champagin right on the beach. We were able to walk to Armand Circle to have dinner, lunch or shop. Also plenty of local pubs as well. Gulf Beach Resort is Quiet and Clean. The staff is fantastic they are friendly, helpful and aways smiling even when they are working. I find that amazing because I live in Chicago and that is not always the case when your working. They seem to really like their job's. This was my first time at the resort and I plan to return often because I have every thing at my finger tips. I have made my reservations already for my next visit and plan to stay alonger this time. Perfect little family get-away. We stay every summer and love it. Cook your own breakfast & lunch in the kitchen, then go out for dinner. Very clean & quiet. No young,party crowd. Close to St. Armands circle and beautiful,peaceful beach. Very cost-effective vacation. Love it!!

This is a little piece of heaven on earth. The staff goes out of thier way to help. The ability to be able to cook in your room, if you get one with a kitchen is a big cost saver. The Motel is within in walking distance of one of the most increadible protected parks I have ever seen and experienced. The ability to walk to so many fine places in the area espicially St. Armands Circle and the shops and restaurants makes GBM just that much more special. The heated pool, the shuffle board court and let's not forget the beach and Gulf of Mexico all are just increadible. This year there were pods of dolphins swimming about 20 yards off the beach. It was increadible.While old the motel is in good repair and should something not work correctly there is an on staff maintenance man who can fix just about anything should his services be needed. And there is a Blue Herron and a couple of Egrets that have adopted the place for their home. To walk around and to get within about 3 feet of them before the fly off is amazing as well.Overall I would highly recommend the Gulf Beach.

the motel was old and clean. we were checking out rooms and should have known to not stay when there was a big dead roach on the floor. my wife spotted 3 huge ones in our bathroom at 1 time that night. my dad who stayed in the next room killed many bugs along with me. he also was awakened by one crawling on his face in the morning. the bugs were a nightmare and i would not stay again if they paid me a hundred a night. it is a shame because the staff was nice and so was everything else.

Right on the beach. Kitchenetts. Reasonable rates. Small historical Drive in motel on the beach. Very clean. Cute little screened porches on the lower level.

Every year my girlfriends & I stay here for a weekend...it's the perfect place for a group get-away! The rooms are pretty decent- clean & simple, the kitchens are fully equipped for cooking (which saves you a bundle to eat in this area)although it does not have staple items (don't forget to bring your own sugar, coffee & filters, etc.) It is right on the beach- on a absolutely beautiful beach! An ambitious person could walk to St Armands Circle for restaraunts & souvenriers, but if you brought a bike it would be an nice & easy ride. The pool is clean & never too busy, the staff was very polite & friendly.....so overall a great deal for a vacation, especially for a family or group. I personally would probably stay somewhere a bit fancier for a romantic retreat, but if money's tight, this is the next best thing to a fancy resort!

This was the most wonderful hotel. It was spring break, and the weather was beautiful. The room we has was absolutely perfect. We has the 2 bdrm. gulf front apt. and you couldn't ask for anything better. The service from housekeeping was great, and the office staff couldn't be more helpful. Greg event went out of his way to let me know there was a cancellation for the next day, because I had mentioned that we would like to stay and extra day. Thanks Greg! The beach is right outside your door, and shopping is only a few blocks away. This was the best vacation our family has ever had and we will be back time and time again.

When I called I was told the prices are $150-160 per night. She said they have been trying to get yahoo to change the info for about a year and a half.
