By carmel, 10/4/11
Staff so polite, respectful and willing to help in every way. From the moment you arrive, they are there willing you on to enjoy your experience here, whether its just being around the pool, services or the rooms. BEYOND FANTASTIC !!! A jewel in the crown of Miami - WELL DONE and CONGRATULATIONS on your excellence. - A rarity in a lot of good hotels. Will recommend and cant wait to come back for a longer stay!!!

simply WOW
By Karisma Cats, 12/14/08
Were there for business... gorgeous beach, nice staff, nice room. Food is very good. Beach staff was very friendly, even though the choses of food and drink on beach could be more variated (only sandwiches). I had a terrific time, nice weater, the view is breathtaken. Only thing, not ready and a lot of places were closed because of the Victoria Secret fashion show that was standing the next week

Don't stay here
By Gil, 12/8/08
I attended a convention this past week. The place was simply not ready. The service was horrible--6-8 hours to get luggage from downstairs. This is not an exaggeration. Room service took upwards of 3 hours. Multiple packages were lost--the man I spoke to in the mail room told me they were not ready for 300 packages in one day. Conceirge was not helpful, and overworked. 1 hour to get lunch at pool, Iced Tea ariving after the meal. (But three people offered to turn down my towel, and two people--simultaneously, offered me a cool cloth!). The lobby bar similarly was understaffed, and overpriced, even for Miami Beach. The only saving grace was the food in the restuarant, which was top notch. I would NOT recommend this place at all, certainly not for business travel, until they deal with the service issues.

favorite miami hotel
i loved the hotel... we stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved the location, view from our room, service and especially the pool. only negative - the food by the pool is not good. i go to miami at least once a year and i plan to stay here from now on! Its far enough from the strip in South Beach to relax and close enough to party relying on a short cab ride!

We'll be back!!! ~ Bonnie & Mark Y.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/20/06
Our stay at the Fontainebleau from August 14th thru the 19th was absolutely the BEST experience we've had in years! The room was super clean with excellent maid service, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the pools and access to the beach were terrific! The only drawback was the limited dining facilities (breakfast buffet, Coconut Willie's & Starbucks Express) so we had to venture over to nearby hotels (Sheraton & Eden Roc which, by the way, has a fabulous fine dining restaurant called Harry's with superb steak and appetizers, as well as the Aquatica more casual restaurant with great food too!) Although the Fontainebleau is currently under construction, the noise was minimal and our room had a breathtaking view of the ocean as well as the skyline of Miami! What a joy to simply sit outside on the balcony overlooking the ocean & relax in the evenings! Overall, a truly spectacular vacation with the Fontainebleau being the high point for accommodations, just away from busy South Beach but close enough to shuttle over via the courtesy shuttle daily. A memorable vacation, we SHALL return! ~~ Bonnie & Mark Y., Hoboken, NJ

4 night stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/26/06
I can't say enough about the beautiful suite my husband and I had, our suite was most enjoyable. I was disappointed with no resturants avaliable at this hotel, that once was packed with beautiful resturants and cocktail bars. The Friday evening buffet was unbelievable, along with the poodle lounge. Were did it all go? The pool area was cluttered with garbage, the water was dirty. I hate to say it but I will keep the memories of the past and forget about the future of this old and once elite Hotel.

awesome
By NSL, 4/2/06
the old tower is under construction and closed so i got moved to the new tower and it was great. the bathroom is almost bigger than my living room, which included a shower and a jacuzzi + plenty of towels. the bed was very comfy and the tv was huge. the view from the balcony was great and the pool on the 7th floor and outside were nice. the beach is 2 minutes away. the restaurant downstairs was a bit expensive and if u plan on ordering food from roomservice forget about it. the prices are ridiculous. the weather was really nice and the staff was very helpfull. i don't know who's writing these bad reviews about this hotel they must be on crack. a negative is that you can hear construction and its pretty far away from the stores/nightclubs/action. but a taxi is only about $8-9 bucks. i recommend this hotel

READ THIS B4 YOU BOOK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/1/06
I booked this "resort" online because of all the info about the kids pool, and kids programs/activities and adult activities. THEY ARE UNDER COMPLETE RENOVATION!! NOTHING IS OPEN!!!! ONLY 1 POOL. AND ONE PLACE TO EAT AND THAT IS OUTSIDE. IF YOU FORGET A TOOTHBRUSH.. YOU HAVE TO GO TO WALLGREENS! THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL BUT THE MNGMENT SUCKED!! ALL THEY KEPT SAYING WAS THAT THE RATES WERE LOW! I DID NOT BOOK THIS FOR THE RATES, I BOOKED IT FOR THE CHILDREN/ADULT ACTIVITIES! iF YOU GO KNOWING YOU WILL HAVE TO LEAVE TO GO GET SOME REAL FOOD THEN I SAY GO FOR IT! THE ONE POOL IS GREAT AS WELL AS THE BEACH! BUT DO NOT GO FOR THE KIDS. THERE IS NOTHING FOR KIDS TO DO AS PRIOR MENTIONED ON THE WEB SITE.

Loved it!!!
By happybride09, 3/16/06
Fountainebleu was amazing! We stayed in the Fountainebleu Towers. We had a one bedroom condo/suite and it was awesome. Good size bedroom, 2 baths, kitchen, TV room, 2 balconies. Service was great. We had access to all parts of the tower and resort. The pool on the 7th floor is nice if you want to avoid the crowd at the main pool. Loved this place and highly recommend. I would def. stay here again. A couple of downsides, away from Ocean drive and food in resort is very pricey. Not a big deal though b/c you can get to Ocean drive by cab for $10 and you can order in from many eateries and walk to other restaurants outside the resort.
