Not great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/16/10
The staff was very unhelpful....the pool is microscopic, especially for the size of the hotel....there were too many rules and restrictions: for example, on the veranda by the beach there was no outside food allowed. In other words, you woud have to order food and drink from the hotel if you wanted to sit out there. Additionally, the air did not work properly and made a loud buzzing sound if you raised the thermostat above 72...and the ice maker was broken for our entire stay, even after we complained several times. I would definitely not stay again...it was a very shabby Hilton!!!!

Nothing special
By lilyblue, 4/1/10
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, but the air conditioner was noisy. It was very hard to sleep. Great access to the beach. The pool is small and there is an outdoor bar adjacent to it. It was a little uncomfortable swimming in the pool with so many at the bar watching. A group of locals parked their surfboards and came into the pool while we were there (I know they were locals since they were making jokes about the tourists and talking about living in Cocoa Beach). They were foul-mouthed, loud, and rough-housing. Staff nearby ignored them, and we eventually left. Shopping and restaurants are less than a mile up the road. Overall we were disappointed in our stay at the Hilton. The resort next door looked great. We'll probably go there next time.

Not what I expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/31/10
The room was very nice. However, I wasn't aware that ocean view is completely different than ocean front. I actually wasn't aware that there were those two options. I thought ocean view was ocean front, so I was surprised to find out I just had a "view" and not overlooking the beach. I was also upset that the windows did not open. Being from Wisconsin, I look forward to sleeping with the sound of ocean waves and a breeze flowing through the room. I was happy to see that there weren't many college kids. For the price of the room vs. what I got, I would not go back. I don't think it's a "DUMP" by any means, but as a previous reviewer stated, "the hilton was right next to a nice resort" in which i would've rather stayed...They had a balcony overlooking the ocean and a balcony with patio doors. I was very jealous...

What a DUMP 2
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/12/09
dont stay here overpriced food and drink, rude front desk staff, they lied about the air conditioning in the elevators and halls, they said they were due to be replaced but they lie about when, overcharged for room on 4 nights, took a week for someone to get it resolved after insisting on speaking to general manager, no apologies, just excuses, loud air conditioner in room kept me up at nights, room overlooked the lobby (249) and was noisy all day and night the staff at this hotel wil do everything they can to make your stay inconvienent, then they will put on a fake smile while they are lying through their teeth, wont ever stay at this dump again, worst stay ever again. stay elsewhere if you know whats good and dont want to get ripped off by these fools

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/7/09
No working Ice machines on our floor….. Several cigarette butts on the beach Kind of like a big ashtray, Dirty windows ceiling by Air duct stained with something, Confusion is King at this one star gem…Hilton certainly isn’t what it used to be.

Beachline View was of next door resort!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/4/09
I booked on line over a week prior to visit...Requested 12 Noon check-in. Of course, this was not available; in fact, our room was not ready until well after the 4 pm check-in time. We were allowed to spend a couple hours at the pool, where we also spent over $50 on beverages. I complained about the "beachline view" and the check-in delays. We were then given 3 beverage tickets (for the 2 of us - finally gave us 1 more after requesting). However, we never got to use them as we had all we could drink by that time! Additionally, the locals use the beach in front, walking thru the pool deck area with coolers, umbrellas, etc. Our sunrise beach walk was through a leftover party mess of bottles, cans, food containers, etc. that was struin on the beach by the pigs misuing it the previous day. Absolutely disgusting!! Love Cocoa Beach; the Hilton, however, will never see us again....not even as poachers!!!

Unacceptable behavior by this hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/5/08
I booked a two queen bed ocean view room online in December using the Hilton web site. However when I checked in, I was told that they did not have any two queen bed ocean view room available. Then I asked why? My room was confirmed online. I was told that because the weather was so good, some guests decided to extent their stay so they just took my room. Is this acceptable? By the way, the cocoa is not very good also. The color of sand is so dark. I will not go back either cocoa beach or this hotel for sure.

Would NOT recommend!!!
By Jan, 4/17/07
I just returned from my one week trip to Orlando and nearby beaches. I was having a wonderful time until I got to Hilton, Cocoa Beach. When you enter your room it feels very basic and not at all like any other Hiltons I have stayed at. It was plain yet pricey. The worst part was this: We were unlucky to have picked Prom night. And the kids were using the room next to us as their party destination. All night we heard yelling, laughing, screaming, etc. Plus the walls are thin, infact one of the party girls name was Allison and one of her friends was Brittany. Does that tell you something? We went to the front desk twice and complained. The security guard knocked on their door and said, please keep it down. I complained the next day to the manager and she said, I will give you breakfast voucher. It was better than nothing but, considering the price of the hotel room and only getting 2 hours of sleep we were VERY disappointed.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/9/07
this was a busy beach and calm We stayed one night and my sleep was interruppted by our rooms air conditioning unit. I made aloud humming noise if you turned if off. I had to place it on very low in order for us to get some sleep and not freeze to death. If you stay do not get room 502...humming air conditioning unit

Definetly will return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/22/07
The Hilton Cocoa Beach is a first class hotel. Our room was spotless, maid service with fresh linens and towels top notch. Restaurants and lounge had excellent service, tasty choices on menu. The most impressive was the front desk gentlemen Brian Scully and Pete Hoyt. We neglected to book a vehicle for our stay and these two gentlemen went beyond customer service in tracking a vehicle down for us. Brian gave us excellent directions to all the venues we wanted to visit. Pete gave us an excellent tips on local attractions. Customer service is alive and well at this hotel.
