Will not go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/03/10
We were there twenty eight years ago and absolutely loved it. It was well maintained, extremely clean and beautiful. This time was a total disappointment. The place was the opposite to what we remembered. The grounds were nice but our room was dirty. The paint was pealing on the bathroom door and the woodwork appeared as if it had not been cleaned in years. We would prefer a much less expensive hotel, such as Hampton Inn. At least it is clean. We would never go back.

Really liked this hotel and resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/29/08
I recently attended a business conference at this lovely old resort and I was surprised at how attractive and beautifully-maintained it is. What was even more surprising was the very warm service. The staff was very friendly and efficient--helpful but unobtrusive. My room was in the Yacht Club area of the hotel. It was very attractive and it had a lovely balcony overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. It was quiet and peaceful with a lovely ocean breeze and a great view of several large yachts. I really liked the Yacht Club area but would warn that it is a hike to the hotel center. The conference center was lovely. So many of the conference areas of hotels are depressing but this one is beautiful. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to use the pool but the beach was lovely. I had a very nice pedicure in the spa and wished I had time for other services. The prices are high but for anyone looking for a resort with old world charm in a convenient location, I would strongly recommend it.

Nice but could be better
By Jana R, 01/26/08
We stayed at the BRR&C for a conference. The room was $429 including breakfast - definitely get the bed and breakfast package. Cathedral buffet or room service is included for breakfast. Buffet was wonderful. Cloisters room was average, but nice linens and comfy bed. Resort fee covers use of the fitness center which was great for cardio but pathetic for weights. Beautiful common areas and staff was very gracious. Go in the off season as it is a beautiful old Florida landmark that is worth experiencing.

Overrated Mess
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/07
The Boca Resort is a highly overrated hotel. Having spent most of my Florida vacations at the Ritz Carlton outside of Palm beach I must stress that the service, food, accomadations are no where near equal. First of all, instead of increasing the nightly room rate, the resort tacks on a daily beach charge, for what, I was told towels and such... The service is second rate. The breakfast buffet was fine but for other meals I recommend going to a local resturant off site. All the rooms were not renovatied when I stayed at hte hotel, maybe they have improved the rooms. The web site makes the hotel look like a 5 star resort, in the end in should actually get 2 or 3 stars.

The absolute best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/23/07
Service was outstanding As a club member I cannot tell you how pleased we are with the service and care we receive each time we are there. We live on the ocean in Boce and still go the the Boce Hotel whenever we are in Florida

No Stars..Pathetic
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/23/07
Gone are the days when the Boca Club earned the reputation as being one of the finest country clubs in the nation. They can have their low rate specials, renovate until they are blue in the face; It matters not. Sadly today, it is nothing more then your average Holiday Inn wrapped in an empty pink plastic shell trying to survive on yesterdays reputation and fine staff. Little does this next generation realize, customer service is the back bone to any business. Do I expect them to bend over and kiss my feet when I walk through the doors? Not really. But I do expect someone to answer the phone when I call to make a reservation. I finally gave up after several attempts and an hour and a half of annoying hold muzak. Do yourself a favor. Day spas and fine restaraunts are a dime a dozen. Rent an ocean front condo and you won't have to be subjected to the rude inexperienced staff.

Wow... thats pathetic!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/08/07
This hotel is a joke! A JOKE... the staff does not seem to know what is happening. I don't mind paying high prices for service/food, but if I'm paying high amounts, I expect these things to be worth it and its not. The beach is beautiful, as well as the grounds, but still not worth the amount of money spent. I would much rather stay at another hotel that offers less services, but I know I'm getting a better value. Valet is $30/day, automatic and there is also a resort fee added daily for 2 bottles of water and a newspaper. I will not stay at Boca Resort again. Oh and the Cabana Restaurant at the Beach club is a joke along with room service at the main part of the hotel. Who is running this operation?

The Best Spa
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/16/07
We had a a great time, the hotel was very nice and clean. We stayed in the towers. The best part of the hotel is the SPA. Ritual Baths and most of the treatments are awesome. Breakfast and meals are a bit pricey but your in boca so maybe thats why. The good outways the bad. Some of the staff is a little moody. But they are not enjoying this beautiful place we are. And most of them are really really nice.

RIPOFF
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/15/07
beautiful hotel that goes thru the motions. Besides the beauty, there is nothing else to brag about. Staff is downright rude. Pools are small. Extra inflated charges everytime you turn around. I wonder if the management ever reads these reviews - i wonder if they even care. Will not ever return - this place is an over-rated ripoff.
