Blue Marlin Motel, Key West

I've stayed here about once or twice a year when I'm in the Keys. I like it because it's a resonable rate. I'm usually around for a 6 night stay, but they don't give me any deal for that - they still charge me more for weekend rate even though I'm staying for atleast 6 nights (the dead Sun., Mon., & Tue. nights). Like most places now days, they aren't loyal to returning guests who have stayed there over the past 8 years (in and out of season). I do like the place though. It's clean, and rooms are well kept. Let's just keep the rates within reason. I don't know how all these people who visit the keys are paying out 300+ per night. I mean you're not in the room that long folks. Get out and walk around the Island, take in the sites, drink a little beer. But why do you need a 5 star suite?

The room was very spacious - with a lovely Key West decor. Clean and bright. We were very pleased. The office staff was helpful and pleasant. The laundry area was clean, bright and everything worked perfectly. The location is super - close to the beach and within walking to the action on Duval street. But it is far enough away to be quiet and out of the craziness of the center of town. We parked our car and didn't need to use it the entire time we were there. We highly recommend the Blue Marlin.

I dont know about the rantings of the guy and his credit card but I found the place to be great! Yes, they charged my card as they explained they would and the staff was wonderful. No crooks or criminals during my stay just sun and fun! This is a great reasonably priced motel with a perfect location and wonderful staff. Dont believe EVERYTHING you read here. Try Trip Advisor too, the comments are right on!

My fiancee and I spent two nights there over Memorial Day weekend. The room was very clean and the staff was extra friendly. I only gave 4 stars for value because we were charged $199 per night during this busy weekend, which is understandable. The room/sheets were clean, the a/c was cold, the water was hot with good water pressure. The pool was very, very nice. No mold smell as another reviewer mentioned. It is, after all, a motel, so keep that in mind. But for motels, it was perfect. Great location to southernmost point (2 blocks). I would stay there again without hesitation. I liked it better than the "resort" we stayed at on Duck Key days before.

This hotel was very clean and the room was large and had a microwave and fridge in the room. Parking was kind of a problem, but we were able to find a spot every night we were staying there. The price was very reasonable and the staff was so helpful and nice. It was one block from the beach, two blocks from the southermost point, one block from Duval street, and one block from the butterfly conservatory. We had such an enjoyable time at this hotel and I will definitely recommend it to any of my family and friends. This place was great for such a low price.

The rooms were clean and large the price was great nice pool we were in the pool till 1 in the morning the staff was okay markes was a great staff member very nice we bought him dinner as for the women staff they need to be more customer friendly not very nice .. I am making plains to stay again soon its a short walk to every thing ....

This hotel was all it advertises! Clean, nice and affordable! Great pool and free continental breakfast. Good location on the south side of Key West too!

This was a great motel in Key West for the price. Great location, we walked everywhere but agreed that when we come back we will rent the scooters that everyone has. Our room was fine, clean done up in the island theme. We didn't spend much time in the room the 2 nights we were there, the shower was good, bed was fine. Had a pool but did not use it. Stairs are steep going to the 2nd floor. Would highly recommend and will return. Located 1 block from Duval St.

The deco style, The great salt water pool,the great location and the price! Scooter rental acrossed the street, and great 'neighborhood' deli's, and shops in the area.
