Checked out the NEXT DAY

My wife and I were originally booked into this hotel on January 19 2006 for five nights.
The main enterance to the hotel is quite attractive, with bronze elephants and other animals, pretty tropical flowers and palm trees. The reception area though is quite a little run down, and it was my guess that this was an older Best Western. Our room was #112 on the ground floor, non smoking.Yeeuch is all that I can say about it. Small, cramped, with an a/c unit blowing on the beds all the time, and the room reeked of some kind of chemical that reminded me of a urinal. The walkways were littered with all kinds of trash items. Across the way are other buildings which house the better rooms I assume. Next door to the hotel is an overpriced French restaurant called the Chardonney. We fled the place the next morning. One night in room 112 was enough!
You would be better advised to book into the Hampton Inn, which is north of the Best Western on Highway 41.
We have stayed at many Best Westerns, mainly in New Mexico and Arizona, but this particular hotel in Naples is just about the worst we have ever come across.
