Better than I expected
We took our 2 children (ages 5 and 7) to the Beachcomber for spring break last week. We were very impressed with the resort. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the cleaning crew. We spilled a pop on the sidewalk and they came and cleaned in up in minutes. Room service was very good, they even cleaned up all of the sand we drug in! I was very impressed with the beach and the 2 pools were very warm and very clean. There are plenty of things to do close to this hotel. If you have kids, monster pizza across the street is an absolute must on Mondays and Wednesdays, when they do baloon animals. Plus the have some of the best pizza.
The rooms are a little outdated and the bathroom could have used updating, but we did not intend on spending a lot of time in the room, so this was a minor thing to us. Our room had a huge closet, which allowed us to keep the room from being cluttered. Parking is very difficult. Although we always found parking near our room, we did have to back out several hundred feet when we needed to leave. Again, we were there for the beach, so this was a minor inconvenience.
The bar also brings in a lot of locals and can be loud at times, but we did not have a room that was very close, so again a minor distraction for us.
Overall we were very pleased with our experience and would stay there again.
