Motel 6, Washington

If you read all of the reviews here and still decide to brave it, more power to ya! I just left there this morning. All previous reviews are spot on, including the mouse sighting. Right now Mr. Mouse is probably chilling in the bed of Room 415. I was surprised to see that the individual at the front desk only said "Sorry Mister" then gave me a key to another room. It didn't even phase him that I reported seeing a mouse crawl across the floor. I didn't return the key to that room until the morning so I'm almost positive that they didn't do anything about that. The bathrooms in both rooms I stayed in were so small I could extend my arms and touch both walls at the same time. I'm still trying to figure out why they had the toilet tissue located 5 inches off the floor under the sink. Also, I was temped to sit in the tub and shower due to the shower head only coming up to my chest. Oh, and when I went to open one of the "plastic wrapped" cups, to get something to drink, I felt and saw what could only be described as SPIT on the exterior of the cup. How does that happen?? Between the traffic and the other brave soles watching their TV's, noise was a major problem. Parking was not a problem. I guess people do read these reviews after all. The location to Walter Reed Medical Center is the only good thing I can report about this franchise. I don't offer problems without a possible solution. I think the President of Motel 6 should go undercover within his/her own organization and see what the guests are provided on a daily basis. I honestly believe that this Motel 6 has lost the pride of being part of a team and providing 100% customer satisfaction. If they would take one days' gross and purchase stoppers for the sinks and detachable shower heads they would be able to push that money saved into renovations and be able to paint over all the buggers on the walls for a third time.

Motel is in a very scary neighborhood. We went to find a restaurant and I was in tears I was so afraid. Hotel staff spoke very poor English and the entire place smelled horribly. The elevators were smelly and shakey but it was scarier to go up the stairway. Parking is horrible and over crowded. I also witnessed a man peering into cars for what I assumed he was planning a break in.
