What you would expect of a Westin
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/4/09
After reading the previous reviews, I would guess the property has recently been renovated. Rooms are what you would expect of a Westin...upscale, clean, modern. Our room had a large bathroom, flat-panel HDTV, heavenly bed, and wireless internet (for a fee). The bar staff were very nice, but I found the front desk staff to be unknowledgeable about the area and I didn't notice a concierge.

VERY DISAPPOINTED !
By Pamela, 11/28/06
We usually like Westin Properties and my husband was looking forward to sleeping in the "Heavenly Bed" we have come to expect from Westin. He actually want to buy one. Well, the bed was hard as a rock. I actually considered sleeping on the floor, but was afraid to because of how dirty they were. The carpet was worn out. There was not one comfortable chair in the room. We thought the desk chair would break if we sat in it. The shower leaked. We tried to switch rooms to see if maybe we just had a bad room. But the other rooms they showed us were the same or worse. We decided to moved hotels because I couldn't imagine staying in that hotel for a second or even third night. I was so happy that we moved hotels rather than try to "stick it out" in that Hotel. The hotel front desk was very helpful in getting us moved to the Westin Arlington without any problems. It meant we had to drive into DC which made our trip a bit less convenient, but in the end the drive wasn't as bad as the Westing Grand Hotel. I'm surprised Westin lets them get away with the condition of this Hotel. I have stayed at quite a few Westin's which is why I selected this property. This Hotel may have ruined my opinion of Westin's. Even my young daughter wanted to get out of that "dump" as she called it. The bathrooms are very large. They are not very clean looking, but they are big. It took 3 phone calls to get extra pillows brought up to the room. When we asked for a refrigerator for the room for my daughters snacks. They told us that they usually suggest that people empty the contents of the mini bar -- I hope no one wants to drink the beer or wine we had to remove and then return to the mini-bar refrigerator.

Bad Customer Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/05
Very rude receptionist on the phone. Do not care to let the customers know if they have any message or delivery left. Will never suggest anyone to let their guest stay in that place.

Would Stay Everytime in the Area
By Ryan, 9/25/05
Definetly in the heart of Georgetown. George Washington was about 4 blocks away, along with M Street and the Sub station. Convenient to everything. Room was great, didn't get a chance to eat in the restaraunt but menu looked pretty good. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable.

I loved it!
By Theresa S, 5/26/05
I love the beds. So like sleeping on a cloud! The only problem I have with it is that it is not near (walking distance) to the major tourist sites.
