Find another hotel!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/24/09
We noticed immediately upon check-in that the hotel was tired. The floors were uneven. We had a soft spot/hole of some type in the middle of our second floor room. I worried every time I walked over it that I was going to fall to the first floor below. I assume the "renovated rooms" they describe on the website refer to the furniture which was at least from this decade (unlike most of the rest of the place). The beds were comfortable and clean. Towels were hard to find, and when I requested more from the front desk, I was told I'd have to come get them because there was no one available to bring them to me. Things got worse from there. On the last day of our stay, there was a gas leak at the hotel, and everyone was evacuated. We were given little information until a police officer informed us that the hotel was being closed by the fire marshall due to code violations. Power was turned off in the guest rooms which made packing our things at 9:30 pm very difficult. We were told there were no flashlights available for our use. The front desk clerk was surly and had an attitude. I was more than happy to go to another hotel for our last night in Leesburg. I would tell anyone to avoid this hotel. There are other chain hotels nearby. Choose one of those!!!
