Atlantic Oceanside Motel & Suites, Dewey Beach

This place was the best, we had such a great time we already booked for a week in July and August, the staff was fantastic, the place was clean and neat, the pool refreshing, and so close to everything we never had to use our car. On Monday morning they have Yoga on the beach and at night there are Movies on the Beach, wednesday we enjoyed a beach bon fire, our kids LOVED IT

Don't stay here unless you like dirt, mold, ants, and flies. You get them all at Atlantic Oceanside Motel and Suites. The ONLY good thing about the place was that it was close to the beach... but there are plenty of places that are close to the beach! The staff was pleasant. The pool was nice, but small, and more for the kids enjoyment. There wasn't an elevator for the elderly or disabled, so, if you need one, don't stay here. Also, even if you ask when reserving a room, you may not get the first floor. Remember to bring money for the ice, they actually charge for it. We took pictures of the plug in the sink... it had mold, big time mold... so, management took $106.00 off our bill. They would certainly be in trouble if the Department of Health checked them out. One word to sum it up.... ICK! I would NEVER stay there again.

It is not a five star hotel (we have been to those), BUT it is definitely worth the off season price we paid for it (location, allowed to have pets etc.). The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. It definitely has a homey/family type atmosphere more than a client/servant atmosphere. The week we went, there was a group that had been meeting there for years. Very friendly guests. Our kids loved the experience. The only thing that we will do differently next stay? We will try their suites up the road for a few more $'s and more space.

The rooms are dingy and need repair/renovations. On our very first day we didn't even have hot water to shower. The staff was very nice but this place needs to be renovated asap and should NOT charge the price that they do for what they are offering. Definitely will not stay here again or recommend to others. The only thing they have going for them is the great location. However, there are a lot of other motels in the vicinity.

The room was very small and not very clean. The worst part was the water pressure and lack of hot water we experienced on our check out day. We barely had any water coming out of the shower and no hot water. The front desk staff didn't seem to care and they said they would have maintenance look at it, but we were checking out so we don't know if it was fixed. I know we will never stay there again!

This place is small and filthy. There is mold in the corners of the room. The staff is rude. They threatened to tow our legally parked car while it had their parking pass in the front window. Try the sea esta or best western.

Our stay at Atlantic Oceanside was very noisy. Young kids partied all night making very loud noise, banging on our door at 3:00a.m. because they were too drunk to find their own room. Management did nothing to stop the noise. There was a fight outside our room one night. The location is convenient but I will NEVER stay there again.

the hotel was great. the hotel is on the oceanside. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again.

The only problem I had when I stayed there Aug '06 was trying to get out of the room. Friends and I got locked in the room. The dead bolt would turn, but not catch. I called the front desk and they sent somebody to the door. Unfortunately, they kept telling us to turn the lock, which didn't work. They kept trying to unlock the lock on the doorknob. The people by the pool kept telling them it was the deadbolt that wouldn't work. The people from the front desk were no help at all. I finally remembered that I had a little phillips head screwdriver and one of my friends removed the lock so we could get out. I talked to the manager a couple of times by phone, he was not on the property, and he did not seemed too concerned. He said he had to get the owners permissin to get an emergency locksmith to take the lock off the door. One of my friends has a heart condition and we were getting ready to call the fire department to rescue us. When we finally got out, we went to dinner and by the time we got back a new lock was on the door. This happened the first day, after that we had a very nice time there. We might go back there again this summer and would stay at the Atlantic Oceanside Motel.

We just happened upon this place on our honeymoon in June of 85. It was just what we were looking for. We just were goin to drive to the Beach and find a hotel for a week. We have been going back ever since. We have taken our kids now and they love it too. Great value, good staff, The Location is the best. You can't beat it. We love taking in the Beach in Sept. when there's not as many crowds. We have reservations for the 2nd week of Sept.of 2006. I won't take a chance of staying anywhere else. I can't wait!
