Holiday Inn Express Waterbury, Waterbury

The bed was a canoe, with an 8 inch gap in the middle of the bed below the headboard. The foot of the bed was higher than the head of the bed. No food left in their breakfast buffet on a Saturday morning at 8 a.m.(supposed to go until 10 a.m.) Unresponsive front desk people. No manager on site the entire Labor Day Weekend. It is now September 18th and I am STILL trying to get a response out of this hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. The front of the building is literally crumbling. Big pieces of concrete have fallen off.

The Holiday Inn parking lot waits for people to park in their lot and enter the social security office. They have a towing company, Waterbury Towing & Recovery Incorporated, have a tow truck sit in the front parking lot and tow any vehicle from the lot and charge them $110.00 to recover their vehicle. This happened to me when I parked in the lot to deliver a Death Certificate for my wife on March 12th 2010. The tow truck according to the people in the Social Security office waits in the front parking lot of the Holiday Inn. This is nothing but a scam involving Waterbury Towing & Recovery and presumably the Holiday Inn.

close to shopping, entertainment. and restaraunts. close to hospital, so its a bit load outside. with traffic. comfortable rooms , great service , enjoyed the breakfast. overall it was agood stay

The location was good, close to all major roads, although the area the hotel is in is a little sketchy. The hotel is next to a hospital and my family was lucky enough to be awakened by a helicopter landing in the parking lot of the hospital right outside our window. Also, the sounds of the ambulances woke us up throughout the nigt. The rooms were clean but dark and tight with little room to move around. The walls were thin and you could easily hear the people in the next room. The shower did not work well, water still came out of the faucet when the shower was running. The best part of the experience had to be the breakfast, which was good and had a decent selction of foods.

All I have to say is we were first awoken by a stray phone call at midnight. Then someone opened the door to our room at 3:45am and scared us out of our wits!!! Fortunately, we used our deadbolt and heard him try to enter. We called the desk and they mumbled something about a computer error. We couldn't sleep again and were concerned about our safety.
