Great Bridgeport Hotel

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport due to the huge snowstorm that hit the state in late October. We were there for several days. The beds were comfy and the rooms were very clean. I know it was recently renovated. You need your key card to enter the elevator so it is fairly secure. The pool, although small, was good enough for the kids (8 & 10) to be in for a couple of hours and not have to worry about them, while working via WIFI by the side of the pool. Loved the fact that it was WIFI all over the place! The Blue Martini is the Holiday Inn's Bar/Lounge. It was very cozy and the staff did a great job serving us and making sure we had what we needed.
Other than the pool, there is not much for the kids to do, but there are other activities around the city. It's an easy commute to the train (1 block away) and restaurants in the area. Amici Miei, only a couple of blocks from the Holiday Inn, is a quaint little Italian restaurant that has some outstanding personal size pizzas. We went out at night and walked around, went to restaurants and had no issues. Like every city, you need be aware of your surroundings.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
