Great Bridgeport Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/11
We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport due to the huge snowstorm that hit the state in late October. We were there for several days. The beds were comfy and the rooms were very clean. I know it was recently renovated. You need your key card to enter the elevator so it is fairly secure. The pool, although small, was good enough for the kids (8 & 10) to be in for a couple of hours and not have to worry about them, while working via WIFI by the side of the pool. Loved the fact that it was WIFI all over the place! The Blue Martini is the Holiday Inn's Bar/Lounge. It was very cozy and the staff did a great job serving us and making sure we had what we needed. Other than the pool, there is not much for the kids to do, but there are other activities around the city. It's an easy commute to the train (1 block away) and restaurants in the area. Amici Miei, only a couple of blocks from the Holiday Inn, is a quaint little Italian restaurant that has some outstanding personal size pizzas. We went out at night and walked around, went to restaurants and had no issues. Like every city, you need be aware of your surroundings. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

awsome hotel, awsome location, awsome customer svc
By ToddR, 9/20/10
it is located directly across from the Court House, and has a Rite Aid and Mcdonalds on the sides of the Courthouse. Their is a supervised visitation center for divorcing couples right behind the Rite Aid. There is a Subway, Chinese Food Restraunt and Dunkin Donuts just down the street. After around 5pm there are often pan handlers and hustlers roaming around on the street, so I wouldn't respond to anyone walking up on you, but for convience it has alot to offer. The rooms were immaculate, nice large plasma tv in the room, free wi fi, and a free computer and copy machine/ printer in the lobby for guests. Decent indoor pool and fitness center. Parking garage directly across the street from the hotel. I will probably come there 4 times a year until I grauduate my degree and move to the area.

Had a great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/9/09
I loved the beds. It was so high. The room was clean. Maybe renovated. It is a bad neighborhood, but not far to the good one. Food is overpriced. Would like to see a hot tub in pool area.

bed bugs
By rojo, 6/8/07
We stayed for five nights and I ended up in the hospitcal covered in bed bug bites. I had to go on an IV to treat a horrible case of cellulitis and have been on meds ever since (10 days). Crazy thing is, we didn't think the hotel was that bad. Horrible location but the front desk, maid service and room service was all right. Beware of bed bugs however, not only at this hotel but on the East Coast in general.

Hotel is disguisting!
This was THE WORST hotel I've ever stayed in. It's in a bad neighborhood. The rooms are dirty. There were hairs all over the bathroom floor and in shower. The beds smelled. The carpets were dirty. The customer service was horrible. The elevator got stuck with us in it and no one came to get us after pushing the alarm for quite a long while. The pool was closed for renovation for several months although, when we made the reservation and inquired about the pool we were not told of this. It is a gross, seedy, hotel. YUCK!

Beautiful will return soon
By chris, 7/8/06
This hotel is so lovely, the staff is kind and goes out of their way to help your every need. The room was spacious and quiet and clean. I would love to see a spa here, for hair nails skin massage. The restaurant was a wonderful place, the meals were fabulous for a midsize hotel. And the baseball and hockey teams stay there, which is very interesting and you might bump into a star who's performing at the stadium. Cher, Elton John, lil bow wow all stayed here!

Bring \"all\" your money!
By Harrel, 8/18/05
$150+ per night...outrageous! However, the room was clean, and they had plenty of covered parking.

This was an excellent choice!
By Clark, 7/11/05
The rooms were clean and well equipped. I did not have to use room service at all. The all you can eat bufett is worth every penney and the staff was very helpful. The only short coming that I observed was the lack of information regarding visiting New York.

Depends on the \"Experience\"
The service was great, of course any place could use a bit of improvement. I was taken back by the "ghastly" review, which is not true at all. Where did this person come from and how was his/her attitude to begin with. I found the front desk courteous and businesslike. The area has no great threat, nor is it dangerous. My experience was rewarding and Mr. Scott and his staff were considerably hospitable as well as professional. I liked most that if you were not satisfied, your needs were met within ample time satisfactorily!! Very pleased and will return on a regular basis.....
