Had a great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/09/09
I loved the beds. It was so high. The room was clean. Maybe renovated. It is a bad neighborhood, but not far to the good one. Food is overpriced. Would like to see a hot tub in pool area.

bed bugs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/08/07
We stayed for five nights and I ended up in the hospitcal covered in bed bug bites. I had to go on an IV to treat a horrible case of cellulitis and have been on meds ever since (10 days). Crazy thing is, we didn't think the hotel was that bad. Horrible location but the front desk, maid service and room service was all right. Beware of bed bugs however, not only at this hotel but on the East Coast in general.

Hotel is disguisting!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/18/07
This was THE WORST hotel I've ever stayed in. It's in a bad neighborhood. The rooms are dirty. There were hairs all over the bathroom floor and in shower. The beds smelled. The carpets were dirty. The customer service was horrible. The elevator got stuck with us in it and no one came to get us after pushing the alarm for quite a long while. The pool was closed for renovation for several months although, when we made the reservation and inquired about the pool we were not told of this. It is a gross, seedy, hotel. YUCK!

The Best Lunchtime Pastrami Sandwich in the World
By Trusty Shellback, 01/22/07
This restaurant serves the best lunchtime pastrami sandwich in the world. Pastrami is a highly seasoned smoked beef prepared especially from shoulder cuts. It takes a special talent to make it taste so good.

Beautiful will return soon
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/06
This hotel is so lovely, the staff is kind and goes out of their way to help your every need. The room was spacious and quiet and clean. I would love to see a spa here, for hair nails skin massage. The restaurant was a wonderful place, the meals were fabulous for a midsize hotel. And the baseball and hockey teams stay there, which is very interesting and you might bump into a star who's performing at the stadium. Cher, Elton John, lil bow wow all stayed here!

Bring "all" your money!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/05
$150+ per night...outrageous! However, the room was clean, and they had plenty of covered parking.

This was an excellent choice!
By Clark, 07/11/05
The rooms were clean and well equipped. I did not have to use room service at all. The all you can eat bufett is worth every penney and the staff was very helpful. The only short coming that I observed was the lack of information regarding visiting New York.

Depends on the "Experience"
By A Yahoo! User, 06/28/05
The service was great, of course any place could use a bit of improvement. I was taken back by the "ghastly" review, which is not true at all. Where did this person come from and how was his/her attitude to begin with. I found the front desk courteous and businesslike. The area has no great threat, nor is it dangerous. My experience was rewarding and Mr. Scott and his staff were considerably hospitable as well as professional. I liked most that if you were not satisfied, your needs were met within ample time satisfactorily!! Very pleased and will return on a regular basis.....
