Silver Ridge Lodge, Salida

Overall - this was one of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever encountered trying to book a room. I will NEVER stay at the Silver Ridge Lodge in Salida, nor will I recommend anyone else stay there either. Today I tried to book a room for 3 nights at the Silver Ridge Lodge. Not only was the proprietor and his wife rude, but they were dishonest as well. My conversation was abruptly ended when the proprietor hung up on me. The entire time, both husband and wife seemed agitated and mad at me - even though I had just called and was trying to book and pay for 3-4 nights at their establishment. He would not stand by the price quoted by his wife. It was difficult to figure out whether they had availability or not. If the proprietors' demeanor was any indication of how we would have been treated had I actually booked a room, I'm glad I found another Salida hotel and NOT staying with them.
