Not worth the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/10
Good location, Good service, Stuffy staff, Dirty smelly room, Noisy small rooms. Much better and newer hotels nearby, will NOT go back.

LUCKY VISIT!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/22/08
We unexpectedly found ourselves at the Sonnenalp Resort during an impromptu trip to Vail with friends last summer. Taking a chance, we inquired at the front desk to see if there were rooms available for that night and were pleasantly surprised to get a deluxe suite for way below the going rate because it was off-season and there were unbooked rooms that night. We thought we had died and gone to heaven! From the exquisite room, beautiful view, and sumptuous bedding, to the warm chocolate chip cookies hand delivered to our room, it was the most luxurious hotel we have ever had the pleasure to visit. The room came with a free breakfast buffet that too good to be true. Our trip to the Sonnenalp Resort is one we will never forget...we got to live like royalty for a couple days and it was something we could definitely get used to!!!

Great stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/08
Really a great room, fantastic bathroom (marble floors, separate glass shower, oversized tub.) Great b'fast (both food quality, decor). Nice pool & jacuzzis. Only the restaurant is a little overpriced. Great location for skiing, walking thru the village.

First time treat
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/10/08
I took a trip to Vail for the first time. The staff, spa and hotel all together made my first ski experience great. Great place to just relax, especially by the fire pit in the spa lobby. Hotel restaurants are awesome along with the awesome staff. Although the cleaning staff was a bit noisy all through the night, I would visit again.

We liked everything about the Sonnenalp Resort. The location was the best. The room was wonderful. The breakfast buffet given with the room rate was excellent. Can't wait to go back!

Love it every year
By Chris, 05/19/05
I've had the privelage to stay at this wonderful 5 star hotel for several years. Every year I check this hotel to see if there is availability when I am in town. Usually in the last week of July. Again I will be travelling to Vail and plan on staying at the Sonnenalp. The service is first rate and their breakfast is supurb & the best I've had in the world. It is always a pleasure the entire time I'm there. The staff is always first rate. Thanks for a good time every year.
