Good location-Bad motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/10
The location of the motel is excellent-directly across the interstate from Elitch's, very easy access to downtown, centrally located to almost everything. But, the motel is not in good condition. No lights on in the lobby unitl dark, and it is really dark back at the elevator. Rooms are old 70's decor, actually had an electrical outlet with no cover, and the screws holding IT in were missing! Desk staff were very helpful with anything we needed. Even let me use their office computer to print tickets off because the worthless internet wi-fi wouldn't work half the time. Has a bar there, but never did see it open. The first morning (Friday)breakfast was really good-had omelets, and the usual breakfast fare. But the rest of the stay, the omelets never showed up again, and the same thing every morning got old. The breakfast staff were not very friendly either. Pool was ok, shuttle service was very nice and helpful when taking us to a Rockies game. A few good features don't outweigh the bad here. For just a room to stay, would probably be fine. But to travel with a family, probably not.

Would not stay there
By S B, 6/15/10
When I showed up I was scared at what this hotel looked like. There was some scary looking guests. I was not about to let my family stay there. When I went to check in, there was a cop that just showed up asking for one of the guests that had done something wrong. I don't care how cheep it was advertized for to stay a night, I was not about to stay there. I booked another hotel.

I would return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/9/08
Old but OK, Room clean, quiet location, and bed comfortable. Very willing to shuttle around to close locations. Manager dropped me off to a local resturant one rainy night, it was only 4 blocks away. Offered to pick me up again after dinner. I was pleased and would return. No resturant on property. J.B. Michigan

Okay
By *megan*, 11/6/07
The bathrooms had no exhaust fans, the thermostat in the room was broken, and the outside entrance of the rooms made it hard to sleep because of all the people coming and going at all hours of the night. The wireless signal was worthless, I couldn't even check my email. No breakfast provided. The room was pretty clean and the location is close to downtown and the Pepsi Center.

Pretty much 'a dump'
By dbdude1, 9/18/07
I agree with previous posters - a complete blight on the Ramada name; Turns out the owners of this 'Ramada' also own the next door Knights Inn and a Howard Johnson across town and from what I can tell several other motels. I had the pleasure of being shuttled to 3 of them as they botched my reservations and found rooms for me. They're all fleebags. The owner is clearly just milking them until they fall apart. It's rather pathetic to see this thing simply rot away. The rooms smell, the carpets are decrepit, the 3 inches of dust on the plastic plants in the atrium. The staff is nice enough, but seriously - all of this owner's properties are setting a new low in American motel culture. The place is actually not far from downtown. It was $99/day, and hardly worth it. Please pay a bit more and book anywhere but here.

What a Great Deal!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/05
I've been here twice in two years. Great both times. Latest visit: extremely clean, neat, well appointed rooms and lobby spaces. Absolutely everything in my room was in top shape. Bar is upscale and fun, with sports and non-sports patrons well served. Restaurant for breakfast is a super deal -- hot American breakfast options, plenty of food at great prices. They serve dinner too, but I wasn't there at that time. People are nice -- and this hotel is just 7 minutes to the federal building and other downtown locations; and just off the 25 freeway. Recently renovated and priced to attract business and pleasure travelers. Super Deal!

Plain Jane
By Scooter, 8/13/05
Spent 2 night (10-11 Aug) in Denver during an extremely busy time due to racing events. Last minute decision before kids go back to school. Not many hotels open and even fewer close to family amusements. Read 2 bad reviews and made sure this was discussed when we got to the hotel. Had 3rd floor room in main (older) part of the hotel with inside hallways. Very quiet. No problems. Close by to aquarium, 6 Flags, science museum and Downtown. Wife would have preferred more comfort but not a bad fall back. Location depends on wht you are trying to do. Traffic was terrible but hotel was close to our primary events.

Sorry we stayed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/28/05
First room door wouldn't close, switched room. 2nd room, no a/c. Told a/c was either a:not working, b:working but turned off, or c:thermostats installed wrong. Asked for xtra towels as were 4 of us, both nights, had to go get them myself, were not delivered as promised.

probably won't go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/22/05
The first night we stayed there it was still cold at night but hot in the day. We asked for the heat to be turned on, they said that there was no heat, and gave us an extra blanket. The last night we stayed there they had a dance for young people on the second floor right below our room. The music rattled our room till about 2am. When the music finally stoped a group from the party came up to our floor and they were yelling in the hallway and fighting. They must have had rooms because they kept slaming their doors till 5:30 in the morning. We told managment about, and they gave us a discount on the room and free breakfast at the restaurant. That was good, but didn't make up for not getting any sleep.

Great experience. The convienence of the area and the fact that they will drive us to the airport and keep our car is fabulous
