A Very Nice Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/17/08
I stayed here for three nights, in room 217, while on business, and thought it was a nice room--clean, convenient and affordable.
It has a fridge, microwave and, best of all, wireless internet with a strong signal! The smallish bathroom appeared to be recently remodeled and had nice stone in the shower and on the floor. (I took a photo of the shower stone, because I might use that kind in my own bathroom at some point.) I'm picky about cleanliness and everything looked very clean to me.
Drawbacks, which didn't bother me at all:
*Rooms open outside. I'm a single woman, but felt very safe.
*Small parking lot--but I never had trouble getting a spot.
*Main street noise--which is why I travel with a sound conditioner.
They have a restaurant that is good and basic, with very good breakfast and a small salad bar and good American food. They also have a bar with seating for dinner, and that is comfortable.
I checked out the Comfort Inn while I was staying in Delta, and it looks nice. But I will likely stay at this Best Western again, for overall quality and value.
Incidentally, the Deitch Haus Mennonite buffet, on Highway 92, in town, is really wonderful! I wish I had known about it on my first day instead of my last--I would have eaten every lunch and dinner there! Home- cooked food and very nice young people helping.
