Great place to stay!
By Mike, 11/21/09
Not really a bad thing to say about the hotel! The rooms were big and clean. Flat screen TV and awesome bed! The selection at the bar was good. I would suggest this hotel to everyone!

Superb

We went to this hotel for a night in Orange County. It's been there since the '80s if not earlier and seems completely refurbished. It's a clean, upscale hotel presumingly for primarily business travelers. We'll return.

Merchandiced
By Craig, 06/09/06
The hotel was elegant and the room spacious. But where was the value? Nothing came with the room except "the room". Water $4.50, internet 9.95, everything in the room was for sale. There wasn't a mint on the pillow but all the attractive goodies were for sale. Plus parking was extra. Then the clerk told me that the self park usually was $34 but as a guest it would only be $14. Actually the max for anyone was $15. The picture frame in the bathroom was broken and just hung back up. Great egyptian towels...you can buy them for $40

Expensive!
By Biff R, 03/12/06
Not cheap, but the beds make up for that. However, at nearly $300/night on a weeknight in March - c'mon people. Value? not here, but a lovely place to stay.

Everything is great except cleanliness
By davie, 07/07/05
4 stars looked hotel with 4 stars services but with 2 stars rated of cleanliness. We & Our friends were disappointed at the way our rooms had been cleaned during the stay of 4 days July 4, 2005. Dirts were on all of the table lamps, top of TV, windows, and many other items inside the rooms. The floors were never get vacummed during these 4 days. I still wondered after the trip how could a hotel like Westin had this kind of room services???

By kathleen, 05/19/05
We spent a long weekend here (best value on weekends!). We enjoyed the luxury and even got a first-hand look at the set-up for a gorgeous wedding!

He said Yes!!!! ( what a wonderful night!)
By mrscsmith, 05/11/05
My guy and I wanted to do something special for our 1 year anniversary, but really didn't have time to travel far from home. We decided to stay in our hometown of Costa Mesa, but take a "trip" to the Westin South Coast Plaza. We arrived Saturday afternoon and, as a surprise to him, I had an Caldillac Escalade limo pick us up, about an hour before dinner. We took a quick cruise down the beautiful coastline of Orange County, to a picturesque spot I had picked out in Laguna Beach. As we snapped photos of each other in the sunset, I pulled out a silver wedding band and asked him to marry me. He said YES! We Headed back to the hotel, and had a fantastic dinner at Pinot Provence, complete with Champagne, of course. The next morning we ordered up some roomservice for breakfast, and spent the day shopping at The South Coast Plaza. It was the best weekend get away I've ever had, and I never left my own zip code....the reason my (now) fiance and I call the Westin South coast Plaza "OUR PLACE"
