the building i stayed in was the historic building and it is the main building... it was awsome... i stayed in room 309 because i requested a room away from the main street but still in that building and the young lady that helped me was amazing very friendly and even if she didnt know what she was doing pulled it off perfect i think her name was autumn very beautiful and proffesional. the room itself was beautiful it had brand new carpet and the tile in the bathroom looked original and i loved meeting my housekeeper and being able to talk to the person that i was trusting to clean my room and the room was always very clean even the day i checlked out it felt like i just checked in my room was clean the whoile time i stayed : ) every creak in the hall ways made my experiance even better they have tons of old pictures hanging in the hall ways you can really get a feel of what it use to look like i loved this hotel the only thing i have to say and that i think is one of this hotels biggest problem is that i meet the ruddest desk person i have ever meet in my whole life she was rude , like i was wasting her time or that she had something better to do ,she had no profesionalism at all or control if i may add the only thing praventing me from going back is her and im not positive but if i remember right her name was sherry or carrie but all the other staff that i encountered was very friendly even the maintnence man that came to room to fix the tv for all the bad reviews it was alot better than i expected it was worth what i paid

We weren't allowed to stay in the real hotel for some reason- nothing to do with my dog, who slept in the van. Despite paying $85 plus all the lame extra fees (the total was nearly $100), we had to sleep in a crappy little room in the old, dive motel behind the real hotel. My understanding, after reading up on it, is the hotel is just as much a dive as the motel. The room was run down, small, and smelled of cigarettes despite being labelled 'smoke free'. The shower was cold, and the continental breakfast (served in the banquet room of the real hotel, adding insult to injury) was unremarkable. Actually, it was very remarkable, because they were out of several items (milk, cream, orange juice), and we unded up walking out in disgust because they allowed a couple of kids to run around the lobby, banquet room, and staff-only areas, screaming their heads off. A bad night's sleep, and a far worse morning. Never again. Even though I'd been driving all day and it was past 2 am, if I had it to do over again I would have driven another 45 minutes to the Groveland Motel and stayed in one of their cabins.

Scary elevator, dated room, couldn't reach the air conditioner above the window to shut off. Dirty ceiling fan, dirty bathtub, gross old bathroom, the breakfast is a waste of time, parking sucks

Our softball team had booked a block of nine rooms. When my daughter & I arrived to check in Friday evening we were given the keys to Rm 140. We hauled our stuff upstairs and found the door wouldn't lock. You could just push the handle down and walk right in. I found a housekeeper next door and asked that she call the front desk to get it looked at. We waited 15 minutes for a repair/service man to come...he fiddled around and couldn't fix it. Told me my stuff would be safe there as they hadn't had problems with theft. Uh HELLO...like I'm go to leave my things there in an unlocked room? NOT!! Went to dinner & came back to get another room. We were moved to Rm 127. Saturday we were at the softball tournament all day...we returned hot, tired and sweaty---NO parking available in the lot, had to haul my heavy icechest from across the street from the B of A parking lot. Got to our room, put in the key and pushed down the handle. Couldn't get in the room, pulled out the 2nd key from my wallet and tried it..didn't work. Had to go and use the phone in a teammate's room to call the desk. They came right over with a new set of keys. The gal asked if I might have demagnetized the key...NO!! It was the only thing in my pocket. I immediately asked for a 10% discount off my Sat nite rate for the major inconvenience of having to move rooms on Fri nite then being unable to get into my room Sat afternoon. Rooms were okay, bathroom left a lot to be desired. Showers left little room to bend over to pick up your shampoo. Mildew on the shower curtains, UGH!! Parking stinks...they need to number their parking stalls and the design of parking lot is bad...larger cars have a tough time if parked in certain stalls. Continental breakfast was mediocre at best....location was good, centrally located near some nice restaurants. For $92.65/nite this wasn't such a great value. Next time I think I'll check around to find another hotel..... I did get my $20 off on Sat's fee though which was good, or else I would've been in more of a grumpy mood! Pool is small but nice...heard complaints from others in our group that housekeeping wasn't very good. Toilets weren't too clean and had urine spots and hair that should've been vacuumed up.

We booked for 3 nights and left after the first. We were so upset with this hotel we left at 6 am! The room was absolutely disgusting. Spider webs on the walls, bathroom moldy and dirty, tiles old and cracking, and shower floor filthy! The floors were slanted, and you could see the carpet pulling away from the walls. You could feel the concrete underneath the carpet and it was cracking and uneven, I seriously thought we might go through the floor. I would NEVER ever stay here...please head this advice!!!!! Pictues ARE VERY deceiving online!!!!

I LOVE THIS HOTEL! The price was great! The staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Overall this is the best hotel I have stayed in in the Sonora area! Thank you Sonora Days Inn!

At first, I was happy. The front desk staff were nice and the rooms were clean. The problems began the next day. I wanted to use to pool, as it was hot, but they had it locked up and wouldn't give me a reason why. Then the following morning, the maids decided to have a loud discussion right outside my door at a very early hour. These were little things and I just wrote it off as a fluke. It wasn't until I got home when the real problems began. I was reviewing all my debit charges made over the weekend when I came across an extra $200 charge. I immediately called Days Inn and was directed to the GM. This very rude GM named Tracy immediately began berating me for "trashing" the room. When I asked what on earth was she talking about, she said I stained the ceiling and ruined the lamp. Well, the lamp was in perfectly good condition when I left. As far as the ceiling goes, it doesn't make any sense. I'm barely five feet tall, so even standing on the bed, I doubt I could reach the ceiling. If there really were stains on the ceiling, they must have been there before. We never used the lamp, so any damage to that must have also happen before we checked in. When I told her she must be mistaken and that I was having a quiet weekend with my husband(we're FAR from the wild party animals Tracy wanted to think we were). She continued to yell at me until I was in tears, refused to show me any proof of this so called damage, and then hung up me. I'm still waiting to hear from the owner and hopefully I can at least get my $200 refunded. If you do choose to stay at this Inn, please do a walk through with one of the staff members. It may seem silly, but it could save you from footing the bill to repair damage that was already there. Happy Travels!

We booked this hotel based on the photos on the website. We were given a room that was very difficult to get to with luggage, up stairs, around corner, down stairs..."sorry, we only give this one out when we're full". Bathrooms are important with two teenaged girls and this one was a nightmare. Toilet so close to the sink you had to sit sideways...no electrical plugs in the bathroom and no counter at all, very unlike the photo. Manager gave all kinds of excuses and never returned my calls. I gave up and DO NOT recommend this place. I think they take advantage of the fact that there aren't many choices in that area.

So "some" of the rooms are in the historic building shown...the rest are out back in the trailer park. Decent price for the location, but that is it...make sure you book for the main building or don't waste your money. Either way, the place is noisy (cars from the trailer park side) or people from the bar in the main building.

Great historic charm! The main building was over a hundred years old but it was still clean and maintained. The extra deep bath tubs were neat too.
