We felt like royalty
By Sarah, 11/03/09
The resort upgraded us upon checking into our room. We stayed in a suite on the golf course. There was a fire place, kitchen, living room, and views. The staff was excellent. When we return to Napa we will stay here again and again!

Napa Hell
By Saira, 01/03/09
This experience was one of the worst I've ever had. The rooms are completely outdated, with peeling wallpaper, aging furniture (that is not to mention poorly decorated). After being shuttled around the large resort, we finally arrived at an ant infested kitchen. Even the bell boy reccomended against staying here, saying that the website had "clever photography" that probably even had been "photoshopped". The staff was not helpful and insisted that ants are normal, since they're "from the country."Note: not one ant, but perhaps hundreds, not to mention dead ones all over the furniture. Not to mention it took a 15 minute drive to get to our room. If you want an enjoyable stay, then DO NOT stay here.

Just came back from 622/623
By wang doodle, 06/09/08
We just spent 2 nights in a newly remodeled suite 622/623 and it was awesome. Flat screen tvs in all rooms, jaccuzzi tubs in both bathrooms all new kitchen...right next to the golf driving range and 20 yards from a great swimming pool. We are going to go back again. We also like the dinning on the terrace of the club house....WHAT A GREAT PLACE.

Napa Nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/31/07
The rooms were old, the bedding substandard and inferior. Service at the "resort" was poor...I would never refer to it as a resort now that I have been there. The pictures on the Internet are old, because the facilities are NOT as nice as depicted. Overpriced and we could have gotten a better room at a Motel 6.

Vintage Napa
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/07
Silverado Resort is one of my favorite destinations. With two great golf courses, multiple tennis courts, large pools, spa, and elegant, clean, comfortable rooms it's hard to go wrong.

Upscale Resort???
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/23/06
Are you kidding me??? We were in a 1 bedroom suite on the lower level and we could hear every step the people above us took, every shower they took, and every trip to the bathroom they made. Workers began making noise at 7AM even on the weekend. The housekeeping and ancillary staff were more professional than the management. My spa experience was equally undesirable with rude and unprofessional personal.

Worst Customer Experience Ever!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/06
My sister and her husband were staying at the Silverado over the Labor Day weekend and my brother-in-law collapsed on the golf course and ended up passing away four days later. I flew in to Napa along with my parents to be with my sister during her horrible ordeal. Not at one time did anyone from the management staff ever contact my sister to inquire as to how she was doing, if she needed anything and so on. Their front desk was rude and insulting to my sister when she tried to check in her step children who arrived to be with their father. The majority of the resort staff were unaware that anything terrible had happened at their property and showed no compassion or understanding to us during our stay. We checked out two days early. They did not even provide us with additional bedding for the sofa bed or additional towels. They were also hosting a wedding on the one Saturday night and upon our return from the hospital we had to avoid several drunk patrons walking through the parking lot.....no security around anywhere. I could go on and on about our experience but that would be like writing a book. I would not recommend this resort to anyone!!!!!

Nice
By Nikki, 04/16/06
It was an okay experience. We had heard of the spa that silverado owns across the street from the mansion but you have to pay 20 dollars! On the internet it states everything for guests is free so it was a confusion. While we were sorting out the confusion, the staff was very rude at the spa. Though we went back in the afternoon when there was a more professional staff we enjoyed it. The pools were a little dirty. The rooms were very nice and the cleaning staff was very efficiant, the beds werent very comfertable. Overall was okay.

Average, at best.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/06
First of all, if your room is in the back of the property, you will have to walk what seems to be a quarter mile after parking your car. I was in a standard room, and that couldn't have been more accurate. Standard indeed. Because of flooding in the area, we were without power for about 9 hours, which meant that housekeeping didn't clean our room that day, and our phone service had still not returned as of our checkout the following day, and no concessions were made on behalf of the resort. Location and scenery are the strong points of the resort.
