Robles del Rio back in the 1950's
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/19/11
When I was in Burlingame high school back in the 50's, my family had several summer vacation trips to Robles del Rio. It was a wonderful place to "get away from it all". No, I wasn't there in 2006, but year of visit was required, and selections didn't go back beyond 2006. One of the reasons I don't usually try to write anything to these reviews!

Still not open
By ThomasS, 3/28/10
Well it isn't open now "2010" and most likely will never open again. I read that it needed to be rebuilt in the architecture historical application for local resident approval. I wish the owners best of luck. It was a magical place at one time.

This lodge was not open in 2006
By LonnaM, 1/10/08
Robles Del Rio was a wonderful, magical place but it closed in the late 1990's or there-abouts and has not opened since. It is now scheduled to be reopened in the fall of 2008 and will be a luxury condo ownership type of place. I don't know where this person stayed but it wasn't at Robles Del Rio in the Carmel Valley. Just didn't want anyone trying to book a room.

spender in the grass
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/18/06
This destination is full of wonderful suprises. The views are breath taking and the sevice is 5 star. They will even locate a nationally televised Boxing match for you and ship you your blow dryer if you left it behind. Swimming in the pool is so enchanting you feel as if you are amoung the elite of "The Great Gatsby". I went there with the love of my life a true gift from God. I am grateful for every memory.
