They Lied To Us!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/30/11
We had been referred to the Pepper Tree Inn by a friend and read so many wonderful reviews online that my husband and I decided to go to this hotel on a romantic getaway. Now under new management and called the "Alcazar", we booked this resort for two primary reasons: QUIET and ADULTS ONLY. Not only do they specify on their website that this is a place that "Practices the Etiquette of Tranquility" and "is an Oasis of quiet and privacy," but the company CLEARLY STATES in its reservation requirements that this is an ADULT ONLY resort and that you must be ATLEAST 21 TO CHECK IN. Well, within 2 hours of checking into this beautiful, remodeled and very tranquil resort, a FAMILY OF FIVE WITH TWO TODDLERS (ONE STILL IN DIAPERS!) came down to the quiet, "adults-only pool" with floaties & toys and proceeded to open up a PORTABLE PLAY PEN NEXT TO THE POOL! (A playpen next to the pool? What is this, a trailer park?) We were LIVID. The management told us there was nothing they could do, despite our repeated attempts to show them their own verbiage on their website and on their reservation contract. After an hour of our relentless complaining, they begrudgingly booked as at their sister hotel for the same introductory rate we had received at Pepper Tree/Alcazar... but only after we were fit to be tied. Thank goodness for our new favorite resort, The Colony Palms, who welcomed us with open arms and gave us the tranquil, elegant, couples getaway that we had been hoping for. If we had wanted to stay at a family resort, we would have booked the Holiday Inn or Hyatt hotel for much, much less. A word to the Pepper Tree/Alcazar: please do NOT advertise yourself as an "adults-only, tranquil resort" and then deliver the EXACT OPPOSITE.

Best kept secret in Palm Springs
By GordonC, 6/21/11
Outstanding location right next to the top rated restaurants, Cheekys for breakfast/lunch and Trio for dinner. Newly remodeled, very hip decor, great pool area, smoking allowed outside the room. We have been coming to Palm Springs for the last 25 years and this is no doubt the best hotel we have stayed in.

Very cozy and romantic!
By Martybug, 2/11/08
I love the really big jacuzi bathtub! The room was very spacious and layed out well. The shower was alittle small, but the tub made up for it. The atmosphere was very cozy and quite and romantic.

Just Right
By BRAD M, 1/4/07
A real value and situated just outside the noise and bustle closer to the center of town without being too far for a nice stroll to shops and eateries North and South on Palm Canyon Drive. I've stayed here once each year since the hotel opened in 2003 and enjoy it more each time. The staff is very helpful and the other guests are just about exclusively adult and very much into relaxing and hanging out. The facility is perfectly maintained and very comfortable. Love the saltwater pool!

Cozy & Quaint
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/06
I enjoyed the service. When asking for towels, they arrived within 5 minutes or less. In addition, when I asked if there could be flowers & a bottle of champagne(Moet) in the room upon our arrival, they agreed without hesitation. I enjoyed the fireplace as well. The room was small and quaint. Our wireless laptops were unable to get internet service. However, this was a blessing in disguise because it allowed us more time to spend at the pool and strolling downtown instead of working online. The only thing that would've made it better was if it were a couple of blocks closer to the downtown nightlife. Overall, I would definately come back to the Pepper Tree Inn.

Fabulous!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/05
This place is absolutely fabulous! For those seeking rest and relaxation, Peppertree is highly recommended! I enjoyed my stay here; it was well worth it and the staff was likewise very helpful. I would most definitely consider returning.

Best hidden jem in the city!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/31/05
We have been coming to the Pepper Tree for over two years now. A wonderful hotel that specializes in relaxation and comfort. They leave you alone and let you unwind in the heart of the city. Great for couples looking for a private, well priced getaway. Mostly young and older couples looking for a relaxing weekend. We've stayed in all the rooms...try the jacuzzi suit! Wonderful pool area for laying out and close enough to all the restaurants. Overall, one of the best jems in Palm Springs!
