8 reviews for Pacific Heights Inn, San Francisco
homey and relaxing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/09
I love this little gem. The price is right for budget travelers such as ourselves, and how wonderful to not have to stress out about parking. I feel safe staying there alone, the rooms are not huge, but my family is not interested in hanging in the room, anyway. Just there for sleeping and showers, etc.

Noisey but good location
By Robert W, 10/25/08
Walls are paper thin and the couple talking in normal voices next door kept us up until 2 AM. Same the next night with the room on the other side. Location is excellent and rooms are clean (except for the condom on the stairs one morning). Pastries, apples, coffe/tea, and juice in the lobby each morning.

the only place we stay when in SF
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/08
We have travelled to San Francisco approx. 12 times over the past 20 years, and we almost always stay at the Pacific Heights Inn. Great location, reasonably priced, free parking, great and helpful staff, clean and cozy rooms. This place has everything you need for a great vacation in SF. We always park our car during our stay and leave it there while we walk, take buses, cabs, and sometimes city tours. Close to the wharf, shopping, restaurants, lombard street, etc. Gas station right next door. Small market across the street. restaurants nearby. Chinatown and North Beach pretty close too....... We just love this place!

AWFUL 'HOSPITALITY'
By dan, 09/24/06
My girlfriend and I recently stayed at this 'hotel'. I have traveled around the world and can honestly say that I have never encountered staff that was as rude as we did here. I'm talking about rude to the point of being abusive and threatening, the rooms are tiny, picture a large walk-in closet. Every aspect of our stay was a nightmare.

Nice place for kids, too!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/03/06
This place is great. I used to live 2 blocks away from here and would book rooms for friends and/or family when they came to visit. The have 2 bedroom units. The second room is not big but it has a full or queen size bed and a door that separates from the front room. The staff is helpful and you can't beat the price and location. The location is a very nice area, very safe. Free parking, and you can walk to some of the nicest shops and restaurant right there on Union Street.

Quiet
By Scott B, 10/31/05
Wireless internet, micro-waves, coffee makers, refridgerators, color cable tv, free contenental breakfast, but the best is how quiet it is, u dont have rail cars going by every 10 20 minutes, walls fairly thick, clean rooms, parking always parking. I don't think I will ever stay anywhere else for the price, its the best of the cheapest. ...and its only a short bus into downtown union & van ness.

HIGHLY recommended from a multi-time visitor!
By Barbara, 05/20/05
I have traveled to San Francisco 14 times. You think I love it? I have stayed at the Pacifice Hts Inn for more than 1/2 of those time and ALWAYS love it. The people there are wonderful, helpful, the location is just great! I can walk to a number of local eateries and stores, have a place (always) to park my car (extremely difficult in San Fran) and NEVER have to worry about anything. I love this place and the people who run it. I will return again and again. Highly recommend!

Review of the Pacific Heights Inn
By SusanG, 04/23/04
This is not the Ritz Carleton, but the location is wonderful, the people are helpful and friendly...rooms are clean, and parking is free. We enjoyed our visit and will book a room when we return.
