A Fun Time !
By Alison, 06/19/08
We had an awesome time at this Santa Barbara Four Seasons. It was right across the street from the beautiful ocean with beautiful sunsets. The hotel was covered with pretty gardens and a nice pool. The staff were friendly and helped us get accommodated in our room. The food was great ! Next time we go to Santa Barbara, we are definitely staying here !

This is the most beautiful hotel ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/16/07
I loved this hotel the minute I saw it! It stretches along one of the most beautiful beaches in Santa Barbara and the history of the hotel is felt in every inch of the property. Our room was wonderful and the staff couldn't have been more lovely. We booked a wine tour through the front desk and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is first rate and you HAVE to try the Sunday brunch. There's nothing bad to say about the hotel at all (well except that it is expensive!) It's the perfect place for romance but don't expect a party crowd here. The clientele is older and more affluent than staying in downtown Santa Barbara.

The Staff is the Best!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/12/06
My husband and I are repeat customers, we spent Thanksgiving at the resort, and we just came in this weekend for an art show. We can't imagine NOT staying at the Four Seasons ... we've been spoiled and there's no going back... The reason for my comments today is that I feel someone in particular needs recognition and a pat on the back. One of the resort's bellmen (Cece) was so nice, polite, friendly, he remembered our names the next day, he remembered that we had gone to an art show and asked us about it! That made us feel so special, he really stands out as an exceptional employee! I wouldn't be surprised that, when we return to the resort in this summer, he'll remember us .. by name. Please communicate to Cece (I think that's his name) our sincere appreciation for the way he treated us. Thank you! And we will definitely be back!

Solid option in a nice town
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/26/05
This is a middle-of-the-pack Four Seasons hotel. It is generally an open air hotel, which is nice but can be a challenge in the off season. Service was on par for Four Seasons. Although it's right on the beach, this is not a beach hotel. None of the rooms are oriented towards the water. Only material drawback is the proximity of the train tracks. Numerous times during the evening and night trains past very close to the hotel. Anyone but the heaviest of sleepers should expect to be awoken during night by passing freight trains. Somehow, this didn't make it into the brochure.

Splendid Location, Splendid Hotel
By CJ, 05/10/04
I have had the pleasure of staying here over the years and love it more everytime I come back. Countless celebrities and world dignitaries have graced its decor and you couldn't ask for a more magnificent location. The Biltmore has a distinctive old world, Spanish, early California influenced flair. From the elegant yet understated entrance lobby to the well appointed rooms, this place just keeps reminding you that you are in paradise. The grounds are stunningly gorgeous with lushly landscaped and manicured semi-tropical foliage, all framed by the beautiful ocean views just across the street overlooking Butterfly Beach, my favorite beach in California. The rooms are quiet and this place just beckons the honeymooners, newlyweds, or couples for a romantic getaway. You simply can't beat it. The service in all the dining areas is nothing less than impeccable and you feel as though you are the only one in the room. I have eaten in the formal Marina dining room, the lovely garden like terrace room, and the comfortable La Sala where they have live jazz and dance bands on the weekends. The ambiance is so spectacular here without being too big or obtrusive a hotel feel; you just feel nothing but comfortable and at ease in this subtly genteel setting. If romance, elegance, and beauty is what you are looking for in the midst of top notch service, this is no doubt one of the world's most wonderful and stunning gems. I would recommend taking a romantic stroll on Butterfly Beach after dinner. The hotel is in Montecito, a bit far removed from busy and frenetic downtown State Street, so you might have to drive or take a shuttle to partake of the action. Hotel guests also have access to the private and very exclusive casino across the street. However, if you just want to enjoy the lovely, quietness of Montecito and the romance and splendor of the hotel and each other, I don't think you could duplicate this easily. An unforgettable experience!
