A place we will always treasure !
By ELISA, 07/06/09
My husband and I stayed here last year in August for our anniversary. We loved it. We stayed in one of the units that are seperate from the main location. The privacy was wonderful and the staff delivered anything we wanted from amazing room service to a library of movies and books. One night we did have problems with one of the heaters. They fixed the problems and provided us with a complimentary breakfast. Freshly squeezed OJ !! The service was great, the view was breath taking and the food .... there aren't even words for the food. Try the cobbler !!! We will try to go back every year for our anniversary if we can. We spent hours on our deck which overlooked the ocean and had a private hot tub. This is a perfect romantic getaway. Cell phones do not work here, which is part of the reason we love this place. I even sent my parents here for thier birthdays. They stayed in a room on the main site and they loved it just as much.

can you say Bates Motel?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/06
way oversold on internet. Makes it look like a stlyish resort. Instead, think motor lodge with pre-1978 furnishings, dated finishes, weathered look, tired setting with AMAZING ocean views!! (from some of the grounds and rooms)felt like it was owned by a big family with all of them considering it just a job, not their passion, problably inherited down through the years and it's seen as their cash cow / retirement plan. Not exactly in keeping with the trends of luxury hotels. Also, the tired dinning room faces the back lot with a hill of green, instead of their best asset, the ocean - go figure?

Little River Inn is a little paradise.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/14/05
We have been going to the Little River Inn for 14 years. The food is fabulous, the service is fantastic and the hotel is the best! I truly love it there. I don't drink, but I love to sit at the bar, looking out the bay window, you often see whales out in the distance. I feel like royalty when we go there. I have sent many friends there. There has been a few people camping at Van Dam, that I have talked into going up the little hill, to the Little River Inn. I think it's truly a treasure!
