We loved it!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/30/09
They have renovated their rooms for new Holiday Inn requirements and I think they've done great so far! We stayed in June and each room has a balcony, updated linens, the staff was awesome and a full bar and restaurant!!! We had a great time and hope to be back soon!!!! So easy to get to too in busy LA!

Waste of money
By Mr. Nice Guy, 08/28/08
This Hotel was a complete waste of my money. When i checked their website it said it had alot of features, but when i got there it was a BIG disappointment. Rooms were very dark, no fridge, no microwave, no breakfast, toilet paper was hard to find and get to, elevator buttons cracked and hard to push, and the A/C was so loud that everytime it would turn off/on would wake us up at night. (And we had a 10 month baby with us, NO SLEEP) Overall very bad experience I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Will never go back!
By A Yahoo! User, 08/26/08
Dislike: Reasons here they are, False advertising, it read "microwave and Fridge" (NON in our room, when we called the front desk she said it will cost $10.00 more for a fridge.) I didn't read that on the website, " for additional cost". The "fan" for the bathroom wasn't even working, then we were having problems with the toilet. The rooms were very basic. The only good part was the location to Universal Studio. I wouldn,t recommend this place to anyone. I've seen better deals for next time,(with kitchenette and free breakfast, plus cost less.)

Like bugs? This hotel is for you
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/08
Had a business meeting and were promised wired internet, got wireless. Rooms are small and very basic. Bugs in the meeting rooms that look like they haven't been updated since the Jimmy Carter was president. To be fair, summer is coming, but the gnats were killing us.

This is not a good hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/07
This hotel is not one I will ever go to again. The place is shabby, dirty and the manger seems to have(troubles.) I have been here twice and I was woken in the middle of the night both times. The pool isn't even that large or well taken care of. Next time I would recommend a Hilton or the place called the Colony Inn or something.

ALOT of noise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/07
My family stayed here a few years ago and the noise was horrendous. I emailed the manager and told him of the sleepless nights (he was unavailable the weekend I was there) and just got an apology and he told me to come back after the noise wall was put in. He was a bit rude and unsympathetic. The hotel itself was very nice and, other than the emails after I left, the staff was friendly. My only advice is to not have any complaints and if you do...don't tell the manager because he won't care. Excellent location if you are going to Universal Studios. I just hope you can get more sleep than we did so you can enjoy it much more.

Old but clean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/07
The location was close to Universal Studios and close to the freeway (101) Plenty of car noise outside but quiet inside. Nice front desk staff, good food at restaraunt. Pool I would rate poor. Cold cloudy water and even the hot tub was chilly. (keep in mind my pool at home is well heated- @94 degrees so Thats what I'm used to not 70!) Room old but clean & quiet. Good a/c it was hot out but sayed cool in the room. Ice maker kind of sucked but put out just enough to fill the ice bucket. But don't count on filling a small cooler for the day. All in All not bad and I would stay here again.

Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/10/07
Very nice hotel and a great location, only a few miles from many tourist destinations. Only two downsides, you have to pay for parking and there is no hot tub.
